Back To The Memory Board
In order to understand how it is Orion and Castiel became friends, you need to learn about how they met. So, here is a tale in which they meet for the very first time. You also need to know how Castiel's backstory played out.
In this universe, kalons have a similar lifestyle to our own. They have many different means of transportation. They even have their own cars! They come in many many different shapes and sizes. Considering the fact that the heights of kalons are from the smallest kitten to the tallest liger. Though their cars are not built to the exact same kind like ours, they do much the same thing. Anywho, now with that information in mind, let's continue with this story!
The night was late, the air chilling straight to the bone. Castiel sat beside her father in the front seat of his car. Her fur was being heated up by the heater, the warm air making her fur move slightly. She felt herself dozing off, but kept shaking herself awake again. The soft warmth radiating from the vehicles heater made her forget about the icy cold air outside.
She felt safe with her father at the wheel. She hummed along quietly to the tune playing on the radio, as she looked at the road. The headlights only reached to a certain point, which had made her slightly uneasy. But the reassuring glance from her father made her worries settle instantly. Though she felt it would be scary to drive, to only see a portion of the road infront of you.
The headlights reflected against the small bumps on the road. The lovley calm atmosphere soon turned horrible extremely quickly.
A brown fluffy rabbit lept out onto the road. The cars tires squealed as Castiels father swerved to miss it. A string of foul words escaped from her fathers mouth . She could do nothing as the world around her went in slow motion. She could see everything play out infront of her. And much to her horror, she saw everything that had happened to her father.
The world came back from it's slow-motion-like state. Pain was pulsing through her, she felt like she was choking on her own breath.
She coughed, mortified when blood splattered onto the fur in front of her. Wait, that wasn't right.. She never put her paws out to stop herself from getting hurt, in fact. Her paws aren't that big...
She screamed, though it was barely audible. Her father had pushed himself infont of the airbag so it wouldn't kill her. Her heart was being swept over by a horrible feeling of guilt. She saw the slight and slow rising and falling of her fathers chest. Her gaze moved towards his, a small smile forming on his face.
"Oh Castiel, you'll grow up so well... Tell your mother that I love her with all my heart" He coughed, violently. "And I love you too... Castiel..." And with that he fell silent. Not even the uneven sound of his breathing could be heard.
Sirens wailed in the distance, and Castiel was draped over her father. A sobbing mess. She had bruises and cuts, and a broken right back leg that would affect her for the rest of her life, without her knowing. But nothing that had hurt her physically, hurt her as bad as her fathers death.
Everything was a blur from that moment. Paramedics rushed up to the car, pulling her father out. She was hugging him tightly, refusing to let go. Her fur was matted, and damp from her tears. When the kalons tried to pry her away from her father, she went to bite them. Yelling 'no' repeatedly.
That was all she could remember as she blacked out soon after.

Castiels mother look down at her, the kit was crying. "You brat, if you weren't here your father would be alive. So stop crying over things that don't concern you!" Her mother shouted hitting Castiels front right paw with her tail. She gave a final glare at her child before storming out of the room.
Castiel looked up weakly, her eyes red from crying. She got off of the floor and shut her door gently so that her mother wouldn't find another thing to yell at her for. She pulled a pile of books from her bookcase before finding the book she actually wanted. She pulled out the box she needed. She dragged the box under her bed.
She pulled out the spell book and the small wand. She practiced her magic until the sun began to set. "Come on you stupid thing!"
She shouted angrily. She held the wand in her mouth before flicking it in an upward positions while still holding it in her mouth.
She mumbled some words and waited.
Castiels eyes lit up as the plastic cup began to move. She was happy for a moment before it flew across the room and his her, water going everywhere. She groaned and dropped the wand wrapping herself in a blanket. Castiel cleaned up the mess and glanced at her calender.
"Four more years" She mumbled before making her way downstairs to help her mother.

Two years had passed. Castiel was loosing her mind. Every day, she would be screamed at. 'You didn't do this right' 'Clean it again!' 'Talk more!' Those were a few examples. Two more years of this horror would drive her over the edge. So, that was the night she escaped. She packed her satchel up and opened up her window. She looked back towards her open door.
It would be less painful to go out the front door as opposed to jumping out a two story window. Castiel shruggedand began to climb out. She lost her footing due to her bad back leg and fell out the window. She bit her tongue to stop herself from screaming as she landed in the bushes. Grateful for the shrubs she rolled out and looked up at her windowsill.
Tears began to dribble down her cheeks. She ran, she knew nothing of where she was going. Just. Away. Away from this place is good. Even if she ended up sleeping in the alleyways of the city. She'd rather that over staying in this house. Rain was pelting down, making her fur wet and stick to her body. Which was, not in the best condition.
She ran, climbing over the fence that read 'keep out'. She cried, the rain masking her sobing. The night air was cold, the wind was strong and the rain was freezing. She ran towards a tree stump and broke down on it. Castiel thought she was going to die. A slight glow of light was coming towards her. She saw the face of a kalon, which was illuminated by a lantern they were carrying in their mouth.
They were tall, the large antlers on their head made them seem taller. The large kalon sat down in the same positon Castiel was in. They smiled softly at her looking at her with a look of kindness. And out of nowhere, a flower sprouted from the tree stump. It was blue, and it sparkled and glowed slightly.
"Welcome to my forest, Castiel" The God-like kalon said calmly.
