She couldn't breath, she couldn't speak, Stonefur couldn't do anything! She'd failed as a warrior now that the killer had wiped out not one, not two but four cats in one miserable night. The tabby sighed loudly, casting a forlorn look at Spiderleaf. The poor thing was distraught, Aspenfur having been his mentor. The one that had supported him throughout his life. Stonefur padded solemnly up to Spiderleaf, eyes downcast.

''I am terribly sorry for your loss, Spiderleaf.''

As was his usual behavior, Hemlocktail was on the outskirts of the grieving cats. The smell of death had pierced their living scents and made him gag even from where he stood. The small black tom watched uneasily as his clanmates had realizations of their own. Then the fur stood upon his shoulders, and he couldn't help a nervous glance around. This meant that the killer was still among them. Dread pooled in his belly, hardening like a stone when he realized that the clan was shrinking quickly from its already small size. W-we won't last much longer.

The tom sat behind Stonefur, his jaws wide. Frondpaw couldn't keep it down this time, racing into the bushes to expel the contents of his stomach. He couldn't accept the sight if the four laying dead. He couldn't believe that one of his clanmates had killed them, even though it was painfully obvious. He hadn't eaten the day before, unable to unsee Orangepelt's body. Frondpaw shook quietly, unable to contemplate the discovery.
