The bcollie had an extended release and is worth a mid to late 09 rare.
The staff pet is a late 09 rare.
So this is fair.

I see more demand for staff pets than regular adopts though.

Definitely would agree. Sitting cats and zodiacs demand varies between users and in the end just can't make up a gap for a mainlist.

Demand varies user to user, so that is something you'd have to talk with your trade partner. ^^
This is a tad unfair to them with their's being an early o9 rare and yours being a late o9 rare re-release. Of course trading is welcome to have fluidity however.
