Family Relationships ;; HIRO - When Hiro first emerged Bel was honestly terrified, but he grew to like his dad pretty quickly-- almost suspiciously so. Perhaps it was childish naivety, perhaps it was the fact of Bel's bizarre tendency towards having things die around him, whether it be plants or other such life. When it comes to being left in the water, Belial doesn't mind that either-- except for his incredibly clumsy tendencies with his wings, Bel is a pretty good swimmer! He enjoys playing around in the water and trying to showboat new swimming techniques to his siblings, so he really doesn't mind chilling in the water while Hiro goes off to do heaven knows what. He's never really seen a problem with this-- and being a pretty trusting kid when it comes to his folks, he also doesn't mind the cannibalistic tendencies either. Belial lowkey believes that his dad is a wendigo-- considering his understanding of mythology is pretty skewed-- and that because he's a wendigo, he must be incredibly fast and strong. While he's not far off on the strength/speed bit, Hiro certainly isn't a wendigo. Belial thinks both of his dads are the coolest guys around and often daydreams about the two being some sort of superhero or crime-fighting duo before they settled down, or perhaps they were secret agents. He thinks the two definitely have the strength to take down any bad thing to ever exist-- and because of this he feels incredibly safe with them-- though Hiro especially, in this sense. He wants to be just like Hiro when he grows up-- though he obviously doesn't fully grasp what this entails, he believes he does. [ 277/500 ]
ICO - The only thing Bel and his dad Ico really have in common is their bizarre knack for killing things. Ico isn't really great with living things, and Bel really isn't either-- they have an almost creepy mutual understanding based on their uncanny habit of accidentally killing off plants and the like. Belial doesn't mind that Ico is distant because when he's really in danger, his dad is there for him-- and in his book that's what counts. Bel can't claim he really understands Ico, because honestly he doesn't, but he doesn't really need to. His dad is a huge figure of mystery to him, and he figures it'll just stay that way. He respects his father's privacy, and admires him from afar. He has fun making up theories about what his dad does when he's off on his own-- varying from being a super cool secret agent to writing best-selling novels-- the childish wonder surrounding Ico is undeniable. Belial likes spending time with his dad, even if it is kinda scarce, simply because he feels like Ico is one of the only other people who gets it, when it comes to the bizarre happenstance of things dying around them. Secretly Belial wonders if it's a kind of curse he got from his dad-- but he has no idea if that's true. [ 221/500 ]
EREBOS - Erebos and Bel have a couple things in common-- one of which being accidentally murdering plants. Belial doesn't mind Erebos, though, and he's always reassuring Ere when the guy's feeling down. Bel gets that Erebos isn't the smartest, but because of that he's always willing to give input and try to assist, granted he probably doesn't know the right answer either, he's pretty convinced that if they work together they have a higher chance of being right overall. Belial doesn't understand why his older brother is so flighty and skittish, but he'd quickly take an offensive to anyone trying to take advantage of that quality-- being a protective person, he'd never let anyone walk all over his family. Belial loves going out swimming with Erebos and showing off whatever bizarre new tactic he invented or stumbled upon, and he also loves chatting while they float on the water's surface. He's very honest with his older brother, and while it seems Erebos relies more on Belial for protection, Bel trusts his brother's insight greatly and often asks him for advice. He likes having a second opinion, and while they're floating out on the water's surface-- Belial feels his most at peace, which makes it a lot easier for him to open up. [ 211 / 500 ]
ALVAREZ - Alva is at least partially convinced that his brother Belial is cursed with a legitimate affliciton which causes flowers around him to die. This is just a misconception, of course, but Bel loves the flowers his brother grows in their yard-- but due to this belief, Alvarez absolutely freaks out whenever Belial tries to get too close to his precious flowers. Periodically Alvarez can be persuaded to let Belial look as long as he absolutely doesn't touch anything. Despite this, the two have a bond like a shadow an its host-- Alvarez clings to Belial in public, and Bel stands up for him if trouble arises. He loves his shy brother and Belial would rather take a bullet then let Alva get made fun of for anything, especially his sexuality or feminine nature-- that sort of judgement makes Bel absolutely furious. Alvarez does love Belial, and Bel loves him too-- the two siblings spend a lot of time playing together, attempting to cook and wrestling, all activities the two of them enjoy! Neither of them are particularly good chefs however, so for the most part Alva is playing the role of the main chef while Bel chops vegetables and scrambles to organize all the ingredients. They fail together in this regard, but they also triumph and celebrate whenever they miraculous don't forget steps of the recipe or set anything on fire. Alva is pretty fragile but he likes wrestling anyway, and Bel would be lying if he said he didn't let his bro win sometimes. Belial is undeniably the stronger of the two, but he always plays fair-- and he lets Alvarez get away with his periodic cheating. Belial is always goofing around and trying to make Alva smile, and while he doesn't always suceed he's not ever going to give up. He'd do just about anything for his meek little brother.

CYGNET - Belial and Cygnet are the official defense duo for their shy younger siblings-- because it's completely true that they'd beat you up if you even so much as looked the wrong way at their siblings. When Cygnet is at risk for taking things beyond where they should be, however, Bel is the one to hold her back and try to set things straight. He's someone who admires her strength and he appreciates her as his combative equal-- periodically the two spar or wrestle to stay in touch. Bel makes a game out of trying to catch Cygnet off guard, and in turn she does the same to him. It results in some pretty hysterical impromptu fight scenes in public places, such as the school bus, super market and the park. It's completely friendly competition, but to an outsider it looks like the two absolutely hate eachother-- really it's just tough love, and the two have an understanding that lies in their competitive rivalry. Bel will go watch clouds with her but it seems like whatever she thinks the cloud looks like, he thinks the absolute opposite or doesn't see it at all. Cygnet insists he doesn't have a lick of creativity in his body, to which Belial puffs out his chest and gives a "so what?" Cygnet has tried several times to get Belial to take a closer look at the clouds so he might understand what she's talking about, but alas, Belial simply isn't very creatively inclined and they all look like clouds to him.
