Dawn//Since Little found out about Talon and Shadow originally, let's compromise and not have her find out about the kits for a while -- it will be interesting seeing how Shadow goes back and forth between the two and keeps up the lie
Shadow That Dances at NightShadow nodded in agreement when given her explanation about the crab meat. His kits would be strong. His muddled brain could not help but compare the two litters, wondering which would ultimately make him the most proud. Would the two groups ever meet each other and know their story? The complicated jumble was smothering his mind of common sense, and he ended up blinking up at Talon in a confused manner. It took him a second to recollect what Talon was talking about, able to pull together a response shortly after,
"Little will be missing me by now . . ." He was beginning to come back, but now he was fully aware to the fact he was the kits true father. Shadow did not know how or why they were his, but it was embedded into his subconscious that he was their blood.
"I do not want to leave either of you. Come back to camp. Say they are a rogues." Even though he was starting to come back, he sought unrealistic solutions to the problems now before him. Shadow wanted to be a father to all of his kits equally. He hated the idea of lying to Little, but somehow, in some way, he had turned against her. Shadow was the true criminal. His claws dug into the ground at this thought, angry at himself all the sudden. The catnip was swinging his moods around like a pendulum, but his maw remained pursed.
Shadow had not been paying attention when tiny, needle-like claws pierced his muzzle. His eyes blazed a fiery green, but subsided when he realized who the assailant was. Fog was the one that landed a blow squarely on his cheek. Little beads of blood trickled from the cut, and the sting it caused was almost a cure to the catnip aroma. The next kit to strike was Ruin, but he was prepared for the attack this time. He moved his head upwards, just out of reach of her swipe.
"Nicely done . . ." he uttered quietly to Fog initially, glancing up at Talon for her approval as well. A new generation was emerging. One of strength, power, pride, and most importantly, depraved apathy. They were all showing signs of coldness, and that was exactly his intention. One did not grow strong because of love. One grew strong due to being pushed to the limits and realizing one's own strengths and weaknesses.

Eye of the Eerie TempestTempest turned to spirit in vain, seeking her opinion on a matter that had been bugging him from the start.
"Do you think I made the right choice, tagging along with Raven?" he questioned quietly, not wishing for anyone to overhear. The tom made sure to listen intently for any nearby rustles, reassuring no one could possibly be nearby.
"I respect Little. I chose him because of his wisdom. He was suited for the lieutenant position. He would not merely cast someone out for no reason." Tempest had heard bits and pieces of Raven's accusations against Shadow. They were nonsensical to say the least. Surely she could not think to take on Shadow all by herself, but he had to admit she had guts for trying.
"I am sorry that you got caught up in all of this. You should be back home. Safe in camp . . ."Tags: Spirit
Flower That Blooms in ShadeFlower noticed the hurt in Minnow's voice immediately, and she quieted in shame at how easily she had snapped at him. When she got heated up over a situation, it was not unlike her to take others for granted. She fell quietly alongside him, matching him pace-for-pace.
"I am sorry about earlier. I was concerned. Shadow is stressing me, no, everyone out." The she-cat felt her breathing quickening again at the flash of anger, looking away to keep from glaring at anyone in particular. Flower felt helpless to the cause, like she always did. It was like trying to keep your head above water, but your paws only cut through the surf to no avail.
Flower's attention perked up when she heard Crow mumbling about Reaper. The main portion was what really caught her off guard. Her body went rigid, ears staut and tilted forward in an attempt to catch the pained sounds. Reaper was the first to cross her mind, but then she realized that Flame had been out too. She flung her head over the edge of the cliffside, and her eyes widened in horror at the sight below.
"She fell . . ." Flower uttered, taking a few stunned steps backwards and almost tripping on Crow.

Stream Where Small Fish Swim"I want to ensure that Whisper -- that was your name, correct? -- remains safe," she paused before continuing, glancing down at her paws,
"she has been through enough in the past few moons it seems." Stream pondered over what their plan would be, mentally taking notes of the vulnerable places in camp.
"There is an opening near the hull if we can reach it. That should let us in through the back where we can get Whisper to Rain and Fox without much trouble, unless one of Shadow's minions spot us. If we do get caught by one of them, I will offer to personally hunt for them for a moon. That will sway their opinion quickly enough." Lazy fleabrains, she thought to herself about the lack of respect Shadow's followers proved. Stream knew the blackmail could be used against her in the future, but she still had hopes for Tempest's quick return. With Water's mention of Little, a huff emerged from her maw without realizing it.
"Little has always been weak minded. Besides, she is cooped up in the nursery now with kits to handle. I think she has big worries for the time being."Tags: Whisper, Feather, Water
