The older twin did as the younger twin told him to do. At midnight, just before the moon is at its peak, Hikaru brought Hoshi to the place
where he had previous sighted Tsukiko and the other Viscet. Willow and her parents were unaware of the entire situation, and for once,
Hikaru was glad that he hadn't told them everything.
"Hikaru, are you sure that Tsukiko will be there?" Hoshi asked softly, as the two settled down onto the spring green grass. Hikaru didn't
reply, but instead resorted to flicking the tip of his tail in response to the Viscling's question. "I ended up making a mess of things, didn't I?
I didn't even apologize to Tsukiko yet." Pausing, Hoshi closed her eyes and leaned towards the older Viscet. "... Sorry."
Hikaru didn't say anything at first. When his green eyes finally shifted from their initial position, he gave the youngest sister a smile.
"You can apologize later when we're all together again as a family, Hoshi."
The snapping of a twig diverted Hikaru's attention from Hoshi. When the male looked up, he pursed his lips together, willing himself to not
launch over to the other Viscet and hug her tightly. Hoshi stiffened noticeably next to the former Sun Guardian, as Tsukiko rocked back
and forth from paw to paw. The other Viscet who was with Tsukiko earlier in the day was also here, but what shocked Hikaru the most
was the fact that the two were holding paws. "What in the world..."
The faintest tinge of red could been seen on both Viscet's cheeks, as Tsukiko wrenched her paw away from the other Viscet's grasp. Clearing
her throat, the former Moon Guardian closed her eyes and took a step forward towards her siblings. "That's not a very polite way of greeting
someone who you have been split up with, Hikaru. I thought you knew better."
Before Hikaru could say anything else, the other male Viscet who was standing next to Tsukiko inclined his head towards Hoshi, and the
Viscling flinched. Hikaru frowned and was about to say something when Tsukiko interrupted him. "Oh, right, this is... Yin. He's a good
friend. Hoshi has probably met him before, haven't you?"
"That Viscet is trouble. There is something hypnotizing about his voice, and he renders your brain useless so that you're unable to think
clearly," Hoshi hissed, as Tsukiko frowned. It was clear to the former Sun Guardian that Tsukiko was affectionate about Yin, and although
Hikaru wasn't sure if Yin returned his twin sister's feelings, he could vouch that the other Viscet would be in a world of pain if he tried
to hurt Tsukiko.
"Apologies about that terrible first impression," Yin commented softly, but the glimmer in his eyes did not match the coldness in
his eyes. "Like Tsukiko said, my name is Yin, and I'm a ghost. I'll be sticking around for the time being." Hoshi let out a small hiss
at that comment, but the ghost paid her no heed. "I've heard a lot about you, Hikaru. Tsukiko has told me many things."
Ignoring the comment from Yin, Hikaru tilted his head and narrowed his eyes and his younger twin sister. "Tsukiko, you would've never
become friends with someone that easily, as approachable as they are. Why?" Shifting in his spot on the grass, the green eyed Viscet
blinked and twitched an ear. "Why?"
Tsukiko frowned, evidently uncomfortable with the question that Hikaru had presented to her. "I'm not quite sure what you mean,
Hikaru. I was always like this. I haven't changed." Stepping a little closer towards Yin as though it might give her a sense of security,
the former Moon Guardian let out a sigh and turned her head away. "Yin is a special case. I can relate to him, and he can relate to me.
It's as simple as that."
"That's not what I mean - oh, forget about it. I'm not going to ruin this reunion." Stepping towards Tsukiko, the former Sun Guardian
embraced his twin sister, with Hoshi hesitantly following behind. "I missed you all so much... I don't care if you think it's embarrassing,
it's my thoughts so I will say it if I want to."
The three stayed in their position for a while longer until Tsukiko broke away first and turned to face Yin. "Can I stay with my family
for a while? I'm not sure how things are going to work out..." Twitching the tip of her tail, the former Moon Guardian let out a weary
sigh before turning to Hikaru once she received a small nod of affirmation from the ghost. "Can Yin and I stay here? I'll go talk to whoever
owns this place if necessary..."
"Willow, Nabi, and Ligonem are typically really chill about people coming over and staying here temporarily. But we can't leech off
their kindness all the time, it's not right," Hoshi mumbled, stepping back the moment Tsukiko broke away. "I'll have to talk to them,
because I'm apparently their adopted daughter now."
Tsukiko and Yin both nodded wordlessly, as Hikaru turned his green eyes towards Hoshi. He didn't say anything at first, but when he did,
he spoke slowly, piecing his words together one by one. "But you're a part of their family now, right? That means we're all family here,
then." It was clear that Hikaru was still in the mindset of a Guardian, as there were hidden motives behind his words. Hoshi and Tsukiko
easily picked it up, and both females frowned at their brother's comment.
"I'm not going to say anything, Hikaru, because you already know what I'm going to say, you twisted brother." Huffing, the Viscling
inclined her head towards the other sister. "I... Also have something to say to you, Tsukiko. Sorry." Hoshi didn't bother to elaborate,
as she knew that the former Moon Guardian wouuld understand the context behind the words.
"Can you guys stop talking as though I'm not here?" Yin asked, as Tsukiko turned to face the ghost again. Hoshi and Hikaru both
raised eyebrows, but decided to not comment on Yin's choice of words. After all, it was too joyous of an occasion to bring it down with
damp spirits.
