He then padded towards where the other medicine cat apprentice was. "Creampaw?" He called out as he poked his head into the nursery and noticed the newborn kits. "Congratulations." He purred softly to the queen.

gorsewhisker's ears flattened as he realized that no one was in trouble, breathing out a sigh of relief. but the sense of worry wormed its way back into his mind as he realized that saying the wrong thing would cause a lot of trouble. he dipped his head tactfully and respectfully, then meowed, "our medicine cats have experience treating blindness, and streamstar seems to have started teaching your leader how to hunt and fight blind. as well as that, it could strengthen relationships between our clan."

He wanted to get closer to her and just hold her gaze, or nuzzle her or give her forehead a small lick of adoration, but he held himself. I'm a medicine cat apprentice from another clan. He reminded himself, but the urge to was getting bigger.

i missed you too, she wanted to tell him, but instead kept her thoughts to herself and offered, "perhaps celandine, since it strengthens weak eyes. although, i'm not entirely sure it'll work." creampaw cocked her head to one side and gazed at him, awaiting his response. as she did, she simply stared into his eyes and wished that she could hold them in her sight forever. but of course, that wasn't possible.
