Onyxstar nodded at Morningstar. "You are right, but hopefully it doesn't escalate to that. It would be best if they would just hand over Russetleaf."

When Bumbletuft noticed Briardusk, the Leafclan warrior, he smiled back at her gently. But then a sudden spike of fear lurched in his chest. If Beechclan couldn't obtain Russetleaf successfully, then a war was sure to happen. What if Briardusk got hurt? That's not going to happen, he told himself. I am a medicine cat, it is my job to heal and take care of the cats, including Briardusk. He turned to the two other medicine cats. "I hope so, as well, but isn't it frightening? Many injured cats relying on you to-" his sentence was interrupted by Sagestar's sharp yowl. His face turned grave, as he stared at Mallowpool and Cloudpool.

Sorrelstar didn't have enough time to be outraged over Sagestar's accusation before Tumbleclan was swarming her cats. "I don't know what just happened but clans- fight!" With that yowl she leaped into the fray herself, striking out at the first cat who popped up in front of her and dodging around them in search of the medicine cat den. "Find Russetleaf!" Sunheart charged after her with all he had.

But certain cats from Beechclan were too busy fighting for their lives to go searching for anyone. Sharkfang bandied claws with Eagleclaw, practically laughing even as the other tom tore into his pelt. He whirled at the cat, claws glinting and slashing in return. Meanwhile Frostsong was yipping wildly as a Tumbleclan tom came racing at him, jerking out of the way as he came barreling forth. "You run like a badger!" He crowed, but kept a bit of a distance between himself and the other tom, alternating with Claywhistle for quips and darting slashes.

Dunpond went after the nearest Soulclan cat he could lay his claws on, in this case Blackstreak- swiping at the tom's ears. Sleetfoot danced nervously where he stood, really not wanting to get involved in the fight and instead trying to pick out the medicine den. If he could just find his way to Russetleaf he'd be golden.

Patrol: Morningstar, Woolyfur, Cloudpool, Sedgetail, Harespring, Dappleleaf, Gingerface

Just as Sagestar refused to give up Russetleaf, a hoard of Witherclan cats entered the frey. Morningstar's eyes narrowed and he yowled, "Attack!" Ending their silence, the Caveclan cats uttered terrifying yowls before leaping into the group of cats.
Dapple slashed at several cats before leaping at a Soulclan cat(Amberstorm or whoever you want.) Sedgetail and Harespring ran towards the dens in search of Russetleaf, leaping to avoid the battling cats.
Woolyfur and Gingerface were near Dappleleaf, throwing themselves at the nearest enemies(any Tumbleclan/Soulclan cat), teeth bared in angry snarls.


"As does Caveclan. Support for our allies is very important." He agreed. "I hope so. We'll need to treat those with the worst injuries first and leave the others for later." Cloudpool suggested. As the battle began, he stiffened, studying the battle intently. He didn't look at Bumbletuft as he said, "Yes. It is. Before you two showed up, I was worried I'd have to deal with all this on my own."

Claws and frenzy- they haven't begun fighting yet! Duskpaws swore under his breath when he saw the clans not yet engaged in battle. However, Sagestar's glare centered on the trio and his jaws gaped in a declaration of war. Clawsandfrenzy, clawsandfrenzy! The small black tabby ran as fast as he could, but the striped shecat began to struggle. "Where are you taking me?" She wailed. "I want to go back to the nursery!" Cootfeather sped up to match his longer stride with Duskpaws'. "Don't worry, we're taking you to a safe place. There's a battle here, and you don't want to be hurt, do you?" "I wannana fight battle!" Tigerkit replied, waving her paws, causing the two toms to chuckle.

Cootfeather looked to his left, expecting Goldenpelt to be laughing with them, but she wasn't there. "Goldenpelt?" He turned, seeing the longhaired shecat engaging into combat with a grey warrior from Tumbleclan. Two more Tumbleclanners were heading her way. "Goldenpelt! Run!" Cootfeather yowled. The shecat paused, looking at them. A faint smile played across her muzzle as the two other Tumbleclanners caught up and she disappeared beneath a hoard of fur.

"Cootfeather, we have to go! Now! Or else they'll get us, too!" Duskpaws put on a burst of speed, Tigerkit swinging in his jaws. Cootfeather took one last look at what was moments ago Goldenpelt before dashing off after him. The Witherclan border with its scent of safety washed over them, but their trio was one short. Cootfeather slowed once they were in their own lands, looking at Duskpaws with sad blue eyes. "You've just halved a family. We could have saved her. What is wrong with you? Smokeykit will never know his mother, and it is your fault!"

Duskpaws regarded the older tom with a cool stare. No remorse showed in his gaze. "We would have died too, and Tigerkit wouldn't be back where she belongs. Come on, we're almost to camp."

The underlying tension in the QuartzClan camp eventually gets to be too much for the leader and Talonstar jumps from his perch.
Snowheart lifts his head when he sees his leader and frien down. "What's up?" he asks as he stands and pads over to Talonstar.
"I just need out," Talonstar says. "I won't be long."
Snowheart nods. "Stay safe, my friend."
Talonstar nods in return and heads out of the abandoned quarry. He immediately heads for the direction he believes TumbleClan is in. Though he is determined not to join the fighting - if, indeed, there is fighting - he feels the need to know what's happening.

mallowpool felt his fur bristle as the fighting started. he kept a close eye on the battle, waiting for a serious injury before stepping in. he nodded at cloudpools plan, sorting his herbs. "do either of you have cobwebs? we'll need a lot. " his tail-tip trembled a bit as the fighting continued. he was a medicine cat, and the fighting was vicious.

Frostpath, Stormbreeze, Foxpounce, & Daisyskip

At Sorrelstar's yowl signaling them to attack, Foxpounce let out an excited battle cry as he leapt from the LeafClan ranks, launching himself at a TumbleClan cat (you choose). Daisyskip stuck to Briardusk's side as they hesitantly charged toward a couple SoulClanners, while Frostpath instantly darted off to the side of the scene with the hope that nobody would notice her and she wouldn't have to fight. Yes, it would bring shame to her and her Clan, but she refused to spill any blood today. Meanwhile, Dustfall and Stormbreeze teamed up against the charging TumbleClan and SoulClan cats, and Emberstar and Ashenclaw dove into the fighting, lashing out at whoever crossed their path.

Robinstar arrived shortly after the other allies, her cats at her heels. The fighting had already begun, so she immediately led the Clan into the fray. The patched leader wove through the horde of cats, peeking into dens in search of Russetleaf. Sootpelt positioned himself at the edge of the battle, Poppypaw by her side. Shrikepaw spun around, confused by the multitudes of fighting cats. With his best yowl, he threw himself onto the first cat he saw (Gingerface). Pebblepaw's eyes darted around. He never expected the fight to be so... overwhelming! The young cat apprentice cowered in the middle of the fray, whimpering softly in fear.

Jaystar didn't hear the two leaders talk as she had no reason to. Though if she had heard Sagestar's attempt at negotiation, she would not have been happy. The order was then given and Jaystar ordered her clan into the fray. Soulclan let out battle howls and rushed into battle alongside Tumbleclan, teeth bared and claws battle ready.

Jaystar was a gray flurry, slashing at cats here and thereto remove them from her way. She was after one cat and one cat only. Thrushclaw tried to keep up but he soon found himself engaged in battle and lost Jaystar in the fray. This would all end badly and he knew it...

Blackstreak hissed as he felt claws attack his ears, but he dodged fast enough. He was, after all, he was the fastest cat of Soulclan. He stepped to the side and leapt at Dunpond, fangs attacking his back. Nearby his mate Russetfall took swipes Woolyful, growling and hissing.

Amberstorm yowled as Dapple leaf barreled into her, sending them rolling. Amberstorm hissed and snapped her jaws at the warrior, not letting up any of her blows.

Thistlethorn's grinned and Nettlefoot giggled at Swanfoot request and nodded more than eagerly at it. "Darling that isn't a favor, it's a gift. And I love it." Nettlefoot purred, getting to her paws as she heard the leader's command the attack. Thistlethorn simply winked as she too got up, unsheathing her claws. "In other words. Leave it to us Swanfoot. Though, if he happens to lose.. more than one... sorry." She chuckled before she her sister began the battle, falling into their familiar battle routine of flank to flank, becoming a well composed flurry of claws and fangs.

"Sorrelstar!" At Sunheart's warning Sorrelstar whipped around to find herself face to face with Jaystar. She didn't want to fight this battle with the Soulclan leader- win or lose she was not going to get her daughter back. But abstaining from the one on one battle was not an option now. "Sunheart go find Russetleaf!" Then she struck out at the grey she-cat with claws unsheathed.

But certain cats from Beechclan were too busy fighting for their lives to go searching for anyone. Dunpond tumbled to the ground, hissing under the sudden impact that stole his breath. He thrashed wildly at the tom on top of him, attempting to roll over and use his superior weight to pin the your warrior down. Sleetfoot danced nervously where he stood, really not wanting to get involved in the fight and instead trying to pick out the medicine den. If he could just find his way to Russetleaf he'd be golden.
