"Yes, thank you," Emberstar meowed. She decided it would be best not to say anything about Shadekit or her mother. She didn't want to think about it and didn't know if she would even mention it in her announcement.

As Ashenclaw padded towards where the deputies were gathered, he glanced around, trying to find Sheepclaw. AsterClan didn't make an appearance at the last Gathering, and he could only hope they would be here this time.

Appleheart gave a slight shrug. "I don't think she'd want to talk about it ... but her name is Frigidrose," he said, gesturing with a flick of his tail where the silver tabby was wandering around the clearing, "and those are her other two kits, Breezepaw and Cinderpaw."

[ appleheart; brindlecloud of echoclan ]

A small smile appeared on Willowcloud's face as she watched Appleheart hurry over to greet his friend. Hopefully she could make a friend or two this time. "Hello," she mewed to the others.

[ willowcloud; medicine cats, open ]

"Well, why don't we split up to see if we can find ... like-minded cats?" Frigidrose suggested. "Breezepaw and Cinderpaw will stay with me." Frostpath nodded. "Good idea." As the white she-cat left the small group, the other three began padding around aimlessly. Breezepaw rolled her eyes at her mother's slight uncertainty of where to go or what to do. "Come on, mom. Just randomly walk up to someone and say hello," she grumbled. Frigidrose chuckled but said nothing.

"LeafClan," she meowed quietly. "You?" She wished she could take it back. Why was she letting this stupid small talk continue? She needed to leave - but her paws seemed rooted to the ground.

[ frostpath; rabbitheart of aspenclan ]

Stormbreeze smiled. So she liked him.... It probably meant nothing, but it caused his heart rate to increase a little. He quickly told himself that it was really just nothing, they were just friends. Right? "Well..." he mewed. "Maybe they just don't have enough patience to actually get to know you. I mean, I like you - I think you're pretty funny sometimes. Then again, I kinda have a a bit of an unusual sense of humor, or something like that. I don't know, really...." he trailed off, giving a light laugh at himself. Why was he being so awkward? He guessed that he was just rambling again. Sometimes when he didn't know what to say, he would go on and on about something and make a fool of himself. He hoped he didn't look like an idiot in front of Cherryclaw.

"Yeah, it has. Have you gotten to talk to any of the medicine cats yet?" she mewed, a smile on her face. She knew he was shy, and wanted to try her best to help him gather up the courage to talk to some of the others.

Swanfoot glanced around the coven, it appeared there'd be some malicious thoughts among the gathering cats. Swanfoot turned to Burntsoul with a polite nod turning to the two sisters. ''I heard Soulclan's going to be assisting Tumbleclan...'' She murmured, ignoring Sharkfang, at least for now. Meanwhile, on the good side, Rosefur felt a prickle of pride. ''Of course, it's not as great as your name.'' the ginger warrior replied. Aspenheart certainly knew how to flatter, she noted. Curling her tail around her paws distractedly, Rosefur struggled to find some way to continue talking. She always lost her ability to talk in front of the handsome cat. 'I'll try but I can't promise you that Smokefur won't attack you.'' he replied.


Palepaw flicked his tail thoughtfully. This tom was certainly a strange cat, who'd not be dazzled by Addercloud? he thought. The golden apprentice shook his head. ''D'aww poor you, mister lonely.'' he sighed loudly. ''Nobody catching your fancy eh....My clan's got them by the load!'' Palepaw crowed.

foxfoot walked slowly towards the gathering place, his thoughts a jumble. tawnystar had said this would be good for him to learn how to talk to the other clans, but with the war looming over their heads it wasn't a good time. he had asked her if they should just not go this moon, but she had refused. shaking his head, he flicked his tail and blueclan went into the gathering. he jumped onto the highrock and nodded to everyone, but resolved not to say anything unless he was spoken to.

thrushwhisker waved her tail excitedly, looking for someone to chat with. she wanted to gossip, and maybe make a new friend. she sat in the middle of the clearing and tried to make herself look approachable.

snowpaw rolled his eyes. "i'm more interested in foxfoot training me to become a warrior. someday i want to be leader." he said, and glanced at palepaw. "i have all the time in the world for romance. but if this war is coming soon, i want to defend my clan to the best of my abilities. do you only think with your heart?" he asked curiously.

Cats Attending: Soaringstar, Falconswoop, Poppythorn

The ranked cats of Blazeclan said their goodbyes to Stormshadow as they left. During her wanderings Poppythorn had heard of a gathering of clans to happen less than a days walk from Blazeclan territory. It hadn't taken a lot to convince Soaringstar that they should go. So here they were, following Soaringstar into the gathering clearing. Falconswoop had never seen half so many cats in his lifetime, let alone it one place. He followed closely behind Soaringstar and Poppythorn as they chatted. He simply could not understand how they seemed so comfortable in this place. So many voices, so many new scents... he was starting to feel claustrophobic. At first the three weren't sure where to go, so they clustered together in the crowd. Poppythorn, on her part spent her time eavesdropping. At some point she had decided that she had found out where the medicine cats were gathered and excused herself to join them. Soaringstar too shortly discovered the stone where the leaders were gathered. Falconswoop went to follow him, but eventually got stuck at the base of it, glowering and alone. Left to fend for himself in this army of strangers.

Soaringstar found there were already about a dozen leaders sitting there. He could tell there was some tension between the clans. He looked around but didn't see any leaders he recognized. So, for now he sat at the edge of the group, waiting for his turn to speak.
Poppythorn | Tagged: medicine cats/open
Poppythorn pushed herself through the crowd to where she had overheard the conversations of medicine cats. Wow, there were way more of them than she thought there would be. Cats in many colors, young and old. Sliding into the group and clearing her throat loudly, she drew the attention of the others. "Hi." She greeted them brightly. "Hi. I'm Poppythorn, new medicine cat of Blazeclan. Um, who are you guys?" She smiled kindly, hoping the others were accepting, though truth be told she didn't doubt it.

amberstar smiled. "i'm glad to hear that."



bumbletail looked up as he heard a voice. a she-cat had appeared. poppythorn of blazeclan apparently. "hello, i'm bumbletail of wishclan. is this your first gathering?" he meowed, trying to be friendly.

Ivystar - Leader - Open
Ivystar walked into the gathering, holding her head high. She was determined to not be intimidated by the sea of unfamiliar cats before her. "Wow," Whitewhisker breathed beside her. He had tried to convince Ivystar to stay back, in case her kits came during the gathering, but this was SilentClan's first gathering and she wanted to make a good impression on the other Clans. Besides, this would be a pretty great place to have kits. There were so many medicine cats here!

Whitewhisker - Deputy - Open
Whitewhisker rested his tail on Ivystar's back, sensing her uncertainty. "I'm not leaving your side," he promised. Ivystar shot him an irritated look, but her eyes shone with relief. "I don't need your protection," she replied. But Whitewhisker didn't care what she said. She and his future kits needed to stay safe.

Buzzardflight - Medicine Cat - Open
Buzzardflight glanced around the gathering, the number of cats surprising him. "This is all a big waste of time," he muttered to himself. "I should be in my nest right now, not crowded here with a bunch of smelly other Clans," the grumpy medicine cat complained. "Do you think we'll get to meet other medicine cats?" Stumpy asked beside him, his eyes shining with excitement. I really need to give that cat a proper Clan name, Buzzardflight thought. "Probably," he grumbled. But meeting other medicine cats would be helpful, he admitted begrudgingly.

Stumpy - Medicine Cat Apprentice - Open
I can't believe I'm going to get to meet the other Clans! Stumpy thought. He wasn't very overwhelmed by the number of cats gathered before him, he just wanted to meet as many other cats as possible. I wonder what life is like in other Clans!

Brightsky - Warrior - Open
Brightsky bounced on her paws, hardly able to contain her excitement. "I can't believe it! So many cats! So many sights and smells and sounds! I could meet so many cats here!" she chirped to no-cat in particular. Sunshadow pressed close to her side, clearly overwhelmed. His ginger pelt stood on end, and his claws were scratching patterns in the dirt. "You okay?" Brightsky asked. "I-I d-don't kn-n-now," he replied, his stutter worse than usual. Poor Sunshadow. I hope his social anxiety doesn't get the better of him tonight. Brightsky thought, concerned for her friend.

Appleclaw - Warrior - Open
Appleclaw was already padding through the mob of cats, making a mental note of every cat he saw. Picking out their strengths, weaknesses, anything that could help him and his Clan in battle. Maybe he could talk to a few cats, learn some things about the other Clans.

Sunshadow - Warrior - Open
Panic. That was all Sunshadow felt as the cats crowded around him, suffocating him, smothering him. He tried to take deep breaths, but he choked on the air. He could barely think, his head was spinning and his senses were overwhelmed. He pressed very close to Brightsky, terrified of losing her. What if I get lost? What if someone attacks me? What if I say something stupid and embarrass my Clanmates? Sunshadow worried.

Pepperpaw - Apprentice - Open
Pepperpaw glanced at the cats around her with interest, fascinated by the variation in sizes, pelts, and scents. She looked around for some other apprentices, wanting to strike up a conversation and maybe even make some new friends. She could also show them her epic new battle moves she's been working on!

''Yeah, I don't have a brain so I've got to make do.'' he quipped, a smirk curling his mouth. ''But you've got a noble cause, Snowpaw...I have to say.'' Palepaw replied. ''Tumbleclan's also going to war...'' He sighed. ''I've only just joined and I only know swimming so far...so...'' He murmured. ''I'm kind of doomed.''

Because of the impending Tumbleclan vs Beechclan war, Morningstar had decided to bring only a few cats to the gathering. A wave of his tail beckoned the little group of cats to his side. "Come on." He murmured, wondering just how chaotic this gathering would be.
Arriving at the gathering clearing, Morningstar looked over at the leaders as he approached. After greeting them with a polite hello, Morningstar stepped back into his usual spot, ears pricked to their conversations.

Woolyfur with deputies

Woolyfur too did little more than crouch in his usual spot with the deputies. With all the wars going on, he believed that Caveclan's policy of distancing themselves from the other clans was a good one. They had a few allies but rarely got involved with wars.

Cloudpool + Dappleleaf with medicine cats

Dappleleaf had decided to stick with Cloudpool as the rest of her clan already wondered if she was becoming medicine cat. Lilystem had asked her why she spent so much time gathering herbs with Cloudpool and Dappleleaf had told her she liked the work. Cloudpool murmured a soft hello to the other medicine cats and introduced Dappleleaf. "Hello," She murmured. The pair crouched quietly together, pelts not quite brushing but still very close.

"If Smokefur attacks me, she'll soon figure out I'm not as friendly as I look," Sedgetail promised. The silver tabby's fur pricked with embarrassment as she glanced at him. "Sorry," She apologized.

"Oh yes. I'm very new." Poppythorn replied to the brown tabby. "It's my clan's first time. I don't know anybody yet." She was still cheerful. Neither new cats, nor the quantity of them ever bothered her.

"you won't be doomed. i'm sure if you flirt with a pretty tom and mistake them for a molly you'll be square." his whiskers twitched again in amusement.
