》Maramal is a sinister, cruel man who only cares for himself. When he was young, he never cared for anyone and even ignored his own family. He always remained silent, and no one could figure out why he was so distant and unfriendly. His parents brought him to a priest, thinking that he was possessed by a Daedra. However, the priest found nothing. Once Maramal was sixteen, he went away from his family without a word. He joined the Dark Brotherhood the first chance he got, speaking only when absolutely needed. Some say that his sisters murder was a cause for this, but with the Redguards silent nature, it was never truly known what caused him to not speak or join the murderous gang. Maramal loved his sister very much, and doesn't understand why she had to leave him. To this day, he still does not talk much, only doing his contracts and rarely having fun; if ever.
