"Here is absolutely perfect." Passion, encouraged by Tangelstep's words, was licking at Barkknot's pelt. The idea of giving in to it scared her terribly, but at the same time resisting was so hard and...she wasn't sure if she wanted to anymore. Shoving all thoughts of her clan and the message she had promised to deliver fro her brother, the one that nagged at the back of her mind and told her 'no!', far, far down and away, Barkknot began to groom the tom's ears. Her purr faltered at first, stumbling over itself, but then gained confidence as her licks lost their tentativeness.

Momo kept her paw resting where it was, pretending to be oblivious to Honeyfur's uncomfortable twitching. She stared intently into the she-cat's eyes and whispered low as if telling her the secret to the universe. "A kappa," she cast another glance over at the river to make sure the thing is question wasn't listening, "Is a scaly toad that's big as a furless's kit. I lurks in the water, waiting for prey and then pounces!" On that last word the warrior lept forward and tackled Honeyfur to the ground, laying on top of her and grinning rather pleased with herself. "They're harmless really, just love playing pranks on cats. I think one of them might have brought me here." She squinted her blue eyes shut and tried to remember. She had been swimming in the pond back under the cherry tree and then her furless picked her up and she had slept and the next thing she remembered she was where the sky smelled of rain instead of mountains. Then she had gotten lost and wound up in the wild- it must all have been a kappa trick. While reminiscing about the better part of what she could remember; cherry trees and cat shows and her own pond Momomoon began to purr. Honeyfur was very soft, she was going to get pushed off soon she knew, but for now she should enjoy the softness... And she might have dozed off still lying on the Thicketclan medicine cat.

"Smoothpetal?" He pronounced it Smoopehtal but Webwing didn't pay his failing mouth much mind. Better than Smoopaw anyways. "It's a pretty name, it suits you!" The tom joined Witherclan's medicine cat down by the border's edge. "Cougarpaw's been doing fine- she's almost done with her training! His eyes shone as he mewed this- he couldn't help the pride that welled up in him every time he though of his apprentice charging after prey sightless. Wrangling his brain back into reality he waved her across with a single white paw. "Come on over, Sorrelstar won't mind, and I can't hear you that well unless you're right next to me."

Pidgeonnose. Witheredstalk. Such beautiful names. "I'm not surprised; she likes to bend the rules." He chuckled lightly at news of Witheredstalk's extension. Rabbitwish went back to tending the celandine, his mood lightened a bit.

At Sunnyflower's next words, his ears shot up. "A few hours? Are you insane? What did you tell your clanmates? 'Oh, I have a newborn kitten but I'm going on a quick walk through the woods!'?!" He stood, looking directly at Sunnyflower. "Sparkkit needs you right now, Sunnyflower! She's your kit!"

Cootfeather nodded slowly when Mudwhisker said they would not attack. "Thank you. We are hear to bring back a kit of ours that was stolen in the recent battle; Tigerkit. Her mother is very upset, as it is her first litter and only daughter." He explained coolly, a lot calmer than when he had been speaking with Duskpaws. Duskpaws shuffled his paws nervously, not meeting the eye of anycat.

"Thank you," Smoothpetal ducked her head bashfully at the compliment. She lifted it when he spoke of Cougarpaw, though. "That's good! I'm glad she's coping well!" The brown tabby smiled at the thought of the blind apprentice doing better than the others. It was ironic, but that's were her mind went. At Webwing's request, her eyes widened. "Oh! Uh, are you sure? Umm.. because I know Fadedstar would probably be upset if he found out..."

The gray warrior squinted his eyes just a little, puzzled. Why was she so curious about him? A few minutes ago, it certainly seemed as if she wanted nothing to do with him. Stormbreeze decided to ignore it - for now - and answered her question, "Well I was a loner, and one day two of the warriors found me on the territory by accident," he laughed a bit at his own foolishness. "I should have scented them but I was busy chasing a hare. And good thing I did run into them, for I had been looking for some place to settle down - I'd been wandering around almost my whole life before I came here. They welcomed me in, of course, and I feel at home already. It's been just a few moons, I think." He allowed a moment's pause before asking in return, "How about you?"

Sedgetail had left camp a little early that morning to hunt. After a quick chat with Morningstar and Rowanfur, the molly was far too excited to lay around at camp. Morningstar had told her and Rowanfur that they were going to mentor Ebonywing's kits. Sedgetail didn't know which kit she'd mentor but the excitement gave her extra energy. Ending up somewhere near the Tumbleclan border, the silver tabby was now focusing that energy into stalking a squirrel. All her attention was focused on the furry creature scrabbling among the dirt for food.

Mudwhisker, Smokefur and Badgerfang - Talking to Cootfeather and Duskpaws -

Mudwhisker had opened his mouth and the words of Badgerfang rang out. The black and white tom lashed his tail, a fire lit in the pools of his green eyes. ''No mother should have to feel the loss of a kitten!'' he exclaimed, recalling when Mudkit/paw had died. Addercloud had been inconsolable and so had Badgerfang himself. ''I truly feel ashamed!'' he exclaimed loudly. ''What are you doing, mousebrain?'' hissed Smokefur, watching him race off leaving the two in the dust. ''I think he's getting Tigerkit...'' mumbled an uncomfortable Mudwhisker. ''Come with us then...Tigerkit's not been harmed, I truly don't know why we ever stole her.''


Burrwhisker - Talking to Sedgetail -

He was watching Sedgetail hunt from the rolling moors that Tumbleclan called home. She was cautious and focused, all the ideal traits of a master hunter. Burrwhisker curled his tail around his paws, blinking slowly in the sun. It's rays were poking through the clouds for the first time in ages, and he was growing drowsy in it's warmth.

Foxtail, Addercloud and Rosefur - Talking to Mossvine

Suddenly the world seemed to fall silent and time stood still. The clouds didn't drift along the sky, the wind not ushering them on. The leaves didn't whisper with secrets and the grass beneath her numb paws did not sway softly. On her right Addercloud blinked slowly, feeling rather out of her depth. ''I'll give you some time alone.'' the tabby murmured, her voice hushed, hurrying away. They'd need time to process what had just happened. Rosefur was heart-broken, she'd only spoken to her name-sake once and those few words were all Rosefur needed to tell that Rosie was a brilliant cat. The ginger cat had wished to tell Rosie that she'd received her warrior name but of course...it was all too late. Heart heavy with grief, Rosefur turned to Foxtail. Her mother looked utterly distraught. ''I've lost Greynose...and Rosie.'' she gasped under her breath, shaking her head slowly. ''Oh Starclan.'' Foxtail moaned, slumping at Mossvine's paws. ''Mum...at least she went bravely.'' Rosefur sighed softly. ''Right, Mossvine?''

"Thank you for agreeing." Cootfeather dipped his head respectfully to the trio. Duskpaws finally decided to lift his head, recognizing a few of the cats from the battle. A low growl rose in his throat when he saw Badgertail (on your alliegiances his name is badgertail so ;w;). Cootfeather shot him a look, but to no avail. "I sure hope you're ashamed, since you're the one who broke into our nursery!" The black tabby hissed at Badgertail.

"The other queens and Ramhorn understood that I needed to take a walk." Sunnyflower snapped. "Every queen in Echoclan takes a walk after their kits fall asleep for the first time after they are born. It helps us calm down, especially me!" Her tail lashed furiously. "You have no idea how terrifying it was to watch your mother lose a life kitting, then to start kitting yourself the next day."

"And last time I checked, Sparkkit is your kit too." She mewed, a hurt look flashing in her eyes. "Just because you haven't raised them like I have doesn't mean they aren't any less your kits."

Mossvine leaned down, touching her nose to Foxtail's shoulder. "Rosie died an honorable death." The white and calico she-cat mewed sadly. "Squirrelstar wanted to offer for you and your kits to come to our camp to help bury her."

Mudwhisker, Smokefur and Badgertail - Talking to Cootfeather and Duskpaws -

Thankfully Badgertail was too far ahead to hear Duskpaw's scathing remark, otherwise there'd have been fur flying. ''Shut it, Wither worm!'' hissed Smokefur, glaring at the dark cat. She was very proud of Tumbleclan and endeavored to protect and defend her clanmates whenever they were threatened. There was no way she was allowing this rat-bag to insult Badgertail! Mudwhisker said nothing but instead ambled quietly into camp, where he found Badgertail locked into a heated argument with Swanfoot. ''They want their daughter back!'' spat Badgertail, teeth bared. ''Do you not know loss, you hag!?'' Swanfoot's fur bristled with rage, but she fought to keep her composure. ''I am your deputy and you will do as I say and Tigerkit's not going anywhere.'' she replied, her tone like ice. Turning to Cootfeather and Duskpaws, Swanfoot sarcastically sighed. ''How sad for you.''


Burrwhisker - Talking to Sedgetail -

He was watching Sedgetail hunt from the rolling moors that Tumbleclan called home. She was cautious and focused, all the ideal traits of a master hunter. Burrwhisker curled his tail around his paws, blinking slowly in the sun. It's rays were poking through the clouds for the first time in ages, and he was growing drowsy in it's warmth. He wanted to call out to Sedgetail but it'd be terribly rude of him to interrupt her hunt!

Foxtail and Rosefur - Talking to Mossvine

''I'd love that!'' replied Rosefur in a soft voice, turning to Foxtail. She'd have to be beetle-brained to decline such a kind-hearted offer. She only wished that Tumbleclan wasn't enemies with Echoclan! Foxtail's voice was but a croak. ''I'd love that...thank you so much.'' Foxtail's heart would take moons to mend but tiny acts of kindess were certainally a way to go.



(Eek, sorry, I was thinking of Badgerfang from the canon books, got him mixed up!)

Sedgetail pounced, claws sinking into the squirrel's side as she landed. A quick nip was all it took for her to dispatch it. Sedgetail purred, triumph racing through her veins. She took a moment to thank Starclan for the catch before looking up. Was that Burrwhisker? It was. Sedgetail gave a soft purr of welcome as she bounded up to the edge of the border, dragging the squirrel along with her. "Hey Burrwhisker!" She greeted him after dropping her prey.

Honeyfur stared back with equal attentiveness, her ears pricked curiously as Momomoon explained about these kappas. She had never seen anything along those descriptions, and she was about to bring it up when a sudden force fell upon her. She let out a loud yelp of surprise as she was struck to the ground, and she flashed her eyes all around in a search for any of those odd scaly toads. Thankfully, the only thing holding her down was that silly white and ginger she-cat. She whispered, "Not. Funny." as she wiggled feebly under the white and ginger she-cat's weight. As Honeyfur propped her upwards with her paws, she realized that she was awfully limp. At first she was alarmed, what if she had suddenly died? But no, a pleasant smile graced her lips, and her chest rose and fell faintly. Honeyfur quickly came to a conclusion. 'Oh, so you're sleeping now. Still here. Just great.' It was more reasonable as she thought about it. She could barely swim a few taillengths, much less swim through whole territories! Then again, she wasn't any swimmer. Honeyfur tried to place her down as gently as possible, as though not to disturb her slumber. She took a few steps away, and then settled down. Curling her fluffy tail around herself, Honeyfur watched her sleep for only a brief moment, before dozing off herself.
