The lithe cat studied her paws, contemplating Tanglestep's words. Nocat had ever told her to embrace her Thoughts, the most anycat had said was to ignore them- that she was better than them. The very idea that her Thoughts could be an important part of her had never crossed Barkknot's mind. She wasn't sure how she felt about it. [/size]"I just don't like them. They could hurt cats." No it's your following through with them that would hurt, calm down. Enjoy the moment. The she-cat took a deep breath and let her smile touch her eyes. "I'm glad," she began, locking gaze with Tangelstep, "That I met a cat who understands. And I'm glad that cat was you."

Momo kept her paw resting where it was, pretending to be oblivious to Honeyfur's uncomfortable twitching. She stared intently into the she-cat's eyes and whispered low as if telling her the secret to the universe. "A kappa," she cast another glance over at the river to make sure the thing is question wasn't listening, "Is a scaly toad that's big as a furless's kit. I lurks in the water, waiting for prey and then pounces!" On that last word the warrior lept forward and tackled Honeyfur to the ground, laying on top of her and grinning rather pleased with herself. "They're harmless really, just love playing pranks on cats. I think one of them might have brought me here." She squinted her blue eyes shut and tried to remember. She had been swimming in the pond back under the cherry tree and then her furless picked her up and she had slept and the next thing she remembered she was where the sky smelled of rain instead of mountains. Then she had gotten lost and wound up in the wild- it must all have been a kappa trick. While reminiscing about the better part of what she could remember; cherry trees and cat shows and her own pond Momomoon began to purr. Honeyfur was very soft, she was going to get pushed off soon she knew, but for now she should enjoy the softness... And she might have dozed off still lying on the Thicketclan medicine cat.

Webwing had needed to get away from camp. It wasn't because he didn't want other cat's company far from it! Though he had to admit Burntsoul was getting a bit aggressive in her seeking his company. She was following him around 24/7 complaining about Wisppaw or going on about how cold it was or a variety of other topics. He didn't mind persay, he knew she didn't have any other friends, but sometimes a tom has got to make dirt in peace! That was the excuse he used to slip out of camp anyways, what he had really wanted to do was check up on The Spider Bush. Lots of spiders made their home in this little bush along the riverside nearing Witherclan lands, and Webwing often went there to read his fortune. But he hadn't been since the snows began and he was desperate to know if the little bugs had survived. When he arrived at the bush he found an even more pleasant surprise. "Smoothpaw! Hello!"

''Do you hear that?'' Smokefur murmured , turning to the pacing Mudwhisker. if it's Sedgetail, I will flay her and leave her body for the crows! the grey tabby thought, watching the older warrior pad slowly up to her. While Mudwhisker's heart was no longer full of grief, it was clear the jovial warrior had long since died. ''Yeah...they're loud.'' interrupted Badgerfang, brushing past Mudwhisker impatiently. ''It's clear what we do!'' the black and white cat exclaimed, tail lashing eagerly. ''Chase them off and give them the flaying of their lives...'' Smokefur replied, nodding slowly. ''No...'' Mudwhisker groaned, ambling past them. ''We don't...'' he mumbled. ''We've been fighting far too much.''

The fur along Sunnyflower's spine prickled when Rabbitwish's familiar scent filled the clearing. The pale queen watched him as he picked celandine, knowing he was aware of her presence but was ignoring her. She tilted her head to the side, her amber gaze never leaving him.

"Their warriors now..." She mewed to him, her bushy tail curling over her paws. "....And you have another daughter."

Mossvine paced anxiously at Tumbleclan's border, her fur bristling nervously as she waited for a Tumbleclan patrol to come by.

"What are their names?" He did not stop picking at the herbs, nor did he turn to face the cat he once called his mate. Rabbitwish was glad that his twochildren had survived, but it would be lying to say he was a proud father. Every moment he spent speakingto the pretty orange shecat was betrayal to his homeland. And.. wait.. did she say that I have another daughter? He blinked, hesitating for a moment. Slowly, Rabbitwish turned his head towards Sunnyflower, only then noticing that her body had slimmed. "You shouldn't be out of camp." Was that.. worry quickening his voice? Yes. No matter how hard he tried, Rabbitwish could not hold back his fear for her safety. Because he still cared for the cat that was once his mate. He still cared.

Duskpaws paused, his ears pricked. "Hear that?" He whispered, and Cootfeather rolled his eyes. "Of course. It's a patrol. One moment." The tom stretched his neck, taking a deep breath before shouting. "Tumbleclan, we mean you no harm! We come with peaceful intent. Could you please come out and speak to us? Claws sheathed, on our honor." The black warrior bit his tongue so as not to add 'which Duskpaws seems to have none of.'

"Webwing!" She purred loudly. Smoothpetal had been correct; it was good to see him again. The beown shecat padded over to the border, waving her tail in greeting. "It's Smoothpetal now; Rabbitwish decided I was ready to get my name!" The brown shecat couldn't hide the joy in her voice. "How's Cougarpaw?"

A hint of amusement flickered in her eyes for a moment. She looked at her paws, unsure of what to say, only looking back up when Rabbitwish said she shouldn't be out of camp.

"It's been a few hours since she was born, I'll be fine." Sunnyflower mewed, her tail uncurling from around her paws to swish in the grass. "

''I don't trust you.'' snarled Badgerfang, Smokefur standing beside him, eyes shining in wordless agreement. ''Badgerfang, shush...'' scolded Mudwhisker quietly, flashing possibly the first scornful look he'd ever had. ''They're not attacking us, we don't attack them.'' With a disgruntled sigh, Badgerfang stood down. He'd not go against orders from a senior warrior, even if it were a coward like Mudwhisker. Smokefur was far more reluctant but even so, she did indeed stand down. At least it weren't Sedgetail, otherwise she'd have clawed that silver tabby's eyes out. ''I apologize, but what are you doing here?'' Smokefur inquired, voice laced with suspicion.

Foxtail, Addercloud and Rosefur - TC's patrol - Mossvine -

The ginger warrior picked her way over the boulders, lost in thought while Rosefur and Addercloud twittered behind her. Letting out a soft laugh, Rosefur turned to her brooding mother. ''Are you okay, mum?'' she inquired, looking quite concerned for the warrior. Addercloud too looked concerned. ''Foxtail, you alright?'' The questions bothered Foxtail and she nodded hastily. ''Yeah, sure...there's a cat right there.'' she murmured, trotting swiftly up to the calico. ''What's your business?''

Mossvine stiffened when she finally saw a Tumbleclan patrol, only to relax when she recognized Foxtail and Rosefur. "Foxtail!" She gasped. "I'm Mossvine of Echoclan, I brought your mother to see you after you had your kits." She mewed, before shaking her head, knowing that the she-cat wouldn't recognize her.

"I'm so sorry." Mossvine mewed sadly. "Rosie and the other elders snuck out of camp on their own patrol and were attacked by a fox... Rosie died protecting the weakest elder."

Cherryclaw ducked her head in embarrassment at her own dumb question. "Nothing, really. I guess it was a pretty stupid thing to ask in the first place," she mewed truthfully. The russet she-cat knew that returning to camp was inevitable, but if she had to choose between sooner or later, she would definitely go with later. She wasn't particularly attracted to this tom (not yet, at least ), but the only way to postpone her return was to keep talking. "So how did you find yourself in LeafClan? Unless you were born there, of course... All I know is that AspenClan is fairly new, so most of the cats were former rogues or loners," she mewed, sitting down and curling her tail around her paws.

"Regardless, it's your choice more than anyone else's whether or not you follow through on your thoughts," the dark tabby mewed, gazing at Barkknot. When she finally met his eyes, it felt like a fire was burning inside— in a good way. It wasn't long ago that he would have pushed away the fire, but he now embraced it. Tanglestep smiled warmly. "I'm more than glad I met you," he mewed softly. "Things can get lonely back at the camp, but here..." He allowed his voice to trail off. His amber gaze fell, his smile becoming bashful.

riversong couldn't help but smile when she saw it was indeed the ginger warrior she had met at the gathering. the medicine cat quickly tried to calm herself down and look relaxed. the blue she-cat approached her friend while staying a fair distance away from the border. "it's nice to see you too. how has your clan been doing?" riversong immediately regretted the sentence as soon as she said it. sagestar declared war on beechclan at the gathering! of course her clan isn't in good times! i'm so dumb!

Pidgeonnose. Witheredstalk. Such beautiful names. "I'm not surprised; she likes to bend the rules." He chuckled lightly at news of Witheredstalk's extension. Rabbitwish went back to tending the celandine, his mood lightened a bit.

At Sunnyflower's next words, his ears shot up. "A few hours? Are you insane? What did you tell your clanmates? 'Oh, I have a newborn kitten but I'm going on a quick walk through the woods!'?!" He stood, looking directly at Sunnyflower. "Sparkkit needs you right now, Sunnyflower! She's your kit!"

Cootfeather nodded slowly when Mudwhisker said they would not attack. "Thank you. We are hear to bring back a kit of ours that was stolen in the recent battle; Tigerkit. Her mother is very upset, as it is her first litter and only daughter." He explained coolly, a lot calmer than when he had been speaking with Duskpaws. Duskpaws shuffled his paws nervously, not meeting the eye of anycat.
