Shadow That Dances at Night
Shadow awoke early in the morning as he often did. The morning was his favorite time of the day, considering all was silent except for the early birds. There was always an enjoyable chill before the sun rose above the ocean. He reveled in the few moments of cold, rising from his place beside Little. He was careful not to disturb her or the kits, who all were sound asleep. Shadow had not awoken when Fox returned Leaf to their mother, snoozing like a bear in hibernation. Sleep prepared him for the tasks to come. He turned and headed out of the surgeon's room quietly, sitting outside of the room to take in the morning air. It typically felt crisper and more fresh this early.

Eye of the Eerie Tempest
"What of the murderers? Who gave them the right to decide who lives or dies? A life is to be cherished and respected. It is even against the Arcadian code. My own half-sister Stream would likely keel over if an outcast accused of something so heinous was in my midst." he restated his argument to Raven with pleading eyes, hoping she sees where he was coming from in terms of his argument. "Raven, I am sure that many of these cats have seen the error of their ways, but how does one tell who is faking and not faking? The best psychopath is the one that is never caught." His mind wandered back to Shadow and Little, who were probably sitting on a throne of gold at the tribe by now. "Imagine what the victims would say."

Flower That Blooms in Shade
A pair of eyes blinked open slowly, taking in the beams of light filtering in through the crack of the doorway. The tabby fur she often described as boring lit up in a variety of brown shades, from the darkest mahogany to the lightest oak coloring. The reddish patch of fur on her nose made the green of her inner eye pop. Her limbs unfurled from underneath her rumpled form. The fur along her back and neck stood out in places where she had moved in her sleep, which she would ultimately pat down later with a swift tongue. The only other form she caught sight of in her midst was Minnow. The familiar scent of the tom was comforting, but she knew right away a particular someone was missing. Her stare lingered on the empty nest of Tide, and her heart sank to the floor. He probably went to get a morning snack without me. Flower knew she should not feel so protective of Tide, but she got a tad jealous when she was not included. She was, in effect, tempted to sleep for a bit longer, but instead, called out to Minnow,"Are you up yet?"
When Minnow did not stir, she rose to her paws in preparation of another long day. Flower could not help but wonder when the next storm would come along.
Now, where did Tide wander off to?

Stream Where Small Fish Swim
Stream lounged outside of the sailor's den, grooming her ginger and white tabby fur to a sleek shine. Her deep sea blue eyes scanned the clearing earnestly, looking forward to what the day would bring. Would Shadow go back to his duties now that the kits were born? Questions lingered in her mind, seeking answers. She paused in her grooming, soaking in the rays coming in from the wooden floor boards above.
