Imbolc is tomorrow and in preparation I pruned all of my plants and purchased some new succulents! I'm really excited about tomorrow, I'm going to be planting my seeds :>

I need you help. I bought some lavender seeds and I want to plant them (what a surprise wow.), but I never did it and I don't know how and what I should do an what is important for them.
Is here someone who has experience with planting lavender?

They prefer alkaline soil.

I have never grown lavender from seed so I am afraid I cannot much help but once full grown they are quite hardy and will be well. I wish you the best of luck and hope they grow well! ^u^
I love this time of year (spring, bc it's not spring everywhere) where all of my plants grow a little more and look a little perkier and plants outdoors are beginning to come into themselves. It's so exciting and I am very much looking forwards to caring for my outdoor plants as much as my indoor! <3

Oof, I haven't replied in such a long time, my apologies.
I don't know much about plants, but I love them a lot. I'm going to have my grandma help me pick out certain plants for areas around the outside of my house. Does anyone have any preference for plants that love the shade or the sun? Just curious because I have no idea where to start.

Many ferns love the shade, they flourish in it and if unchecked can fill an area up quickly, though in some cases that is not a bad thing - imo ferns are beautiful and underrated. It is important to consider if the shaded area is mostly damp soil or if it is dry - if your grandmother lives in an arid climate it will likely be dry shade, and generally ferns prefer damp areas (though there are exceptions to the rule :p).
Definitely check this out, it has so much useful info on plants that prefer shaded areas. :3
As for sun loving plants, consider fruit trees if there is room, vegetables and herbs are always fun to grow. If you are more interested in pretty flowers I agree with smo that lavender is great and smells incredible. If you're in a warmer climate and it would suit the garden you may even want to consider succulents, some are hardier than you'd expect and would certainly do well outdoors. Although I have never grown any, Delphiniums make me so happy and would look incredible almost anywhere!
I wish you and your grandma the best of luck! Have fun!
