Lillypaw looked on in horror as Cherrystar and Blizzardleap stood proudly, but with the sense of grief one feels when they've lost everything. It was a sensless type of proudness that screamed 'ignorant!'. Both the leader and her deputy glanced at eachother, to Minnowdawn and her new apprentice, then Puddlepounce, then their warriors. "With all due respect.." Cherrystar began. "While I appreciate your high hopes.. Our patrol.." she meowed, dropping her head and loosing the confidence. "We found Sneezepaw dead, badly disfigured within WindClan territory. A patrol caught wind of a disgusting scent and.." a rat-bitten, bloody Sneezepaw tumbled into sight, and the queen screeched in terror and sadness. "Sneezepaw! SNEEZEPAW!" screamed Puddlepounce, crying upon his fur. The saddened crowd backed away. "So was it Swiftcloud? Or Badgerfrost? It was in WindClan, so, obviously, it means it's either one of them or it's one of us." Minnowdawn concluded. Shadowstripe began to agree. "Yes, surely, it couldn't.." he winced while looking at Sneezepaw. "Why do all of our casualties die in such violent manners? It's disgusting." Blizzardleap wept. "Minnowdawn, how did Littlesneeze die again?" Cherrystar asked. "Drowning." she replied. "Hollyclaw?" "Her head was cru.. a monster ran over her." she corrected herself, still traumatized herself. "And now, Sneezepaw?" Rainshadow had a furious look on his face, that mutated into a softened look. "Sneezepaw.." he mourned his apprentice immediately, crouching besides his limp body. "Cherrystar.. does it have to happen again?" Lillypaw shivered, looking sadly at the leader.

Sunflight limped out of the medicine cat's den, yawning. "Good morning, every-" "Sunflight! My apprentice..." Rainshadow began trembling with guilt. Why did he believe that young, obnoxious, clumsy kitten would be able to ever handle being outside of his den? "Sneezepaw, he's dead." Sunflight looked confused. "Sneezepaw.. dead.. the murderer!?" he jumped up, but landed on his side. "Urh." Sunflight answered. "I can't run like I used to. I'd need to get a head start- right.. I'm so sorry, Rainshadow." He finally accepted the serious fact, and then looked immediately pained. Not because of the gash in his leg, but because of Sneezepaw. He put his paw onto his mouth, cupping it firmly, eyes wavering. "Ratdung." he silently snapped. Shadowstripe looked oddly at Sneezepaw, before Cherrystar announced the newest exile. "Warriors of RiverClan," she screeched, and all the cats turned around to listen. "It's time that we.. have another exile." she meowed. "It appears we have not found our murderer yet. Badgerfrost has been found dead." She silently mourned. While her patrol moved on out of the territory, they also found her body. In grief, the she-cat hesistantly announced the next exile.

"Remember when Shadowstripe talked to Badgerfrost before she left?" a cat meowed. "Yeah, he's definitely the killer." Lillypaw meowed first. "It's Shadowstripe." Shadepaw yowled- "Sunflight, it was him!" Flypelt spoke up. "It was Shadowstripe." Cherrystar decided it was Puddlepounce. Overall, while Puddlepounce's name was second-loudest, Shadowstripe's name was the majority. Poppypaw, Shadepaw, and Lillypaw looked in absolute horror. At least their mother didn't get exiled, but it was dangerously close. Why, why did it have to be this way? Shadowstripe stepped up. "I can prove it wasn't me." he meowed. "No, Shadowstripe." Cherrystar interrupted. "The Clan has spoke." she looked depressed, out of her character. Everyone was. These series of deaths stressed out literally everyone. "I'm so sorry." Minnowdawn approached him. "If it wasn't you, you can come back, Shadowstripe. But I'm afraid you don't have a choice." Lillypaw frowned. "Minnowdawn, it's obviously him. He shouldn't have to prove anything, because he'll end up with clawed ears. Just leave." Blizzardleap stepped down from her rock, and sat on the ground instead. "Farewell." she solemnly meowed. "We're very sorr-" "He's the killer, Blizzardleap. You don't need to feel sorry for him." "Still, he is- was my Clanmate!" before the argument escalated, the deputy put her foot down. "Please, just leave me alone. Shadowstripe- may StarClan guide your path."

"Thank you." he meowed, and decided to go towards the river.

A cat appeared through the night mist. "Hello, Shadowstripe." it spoke. "I came to check up on you." Shadowstripe froze immediately when he saw them. "Why are you here?" he scowled. "I'm not a part of RiverClan. You were there during my exile." "I can't believe how Sunflight was voted when he clearly couldn't of ran." "You know, Blizzardleap made quite a spectacle. She probably believes it wasn't you." "And whoa, did Lillypaw get overreactive just then? 'Shadowstripe's obviously the murderer!'~" "Cherrystar's going out of her mind. She can't even take a simple exile anymore." "Imagine if Puddlepounce was exiled? Her kits would probably be so angry, the secon-"

"Why are you here?" his expression churned into a deep abyss. "Don't you have a reason for being here?" "To help you." "That's a misnomer at its finest. You mean, for me to help you." "Smart." The cats began to walk off into the shadows, far from their homes. It was time that a rebellion began.

A lone warrior looked on at the skies, counting the stars and observing the various constallations that formed within them. Lost in thought, she decided it was a good idea to fall asleep on the rock. Puddlepounce, in only a few minutes time, was snoring off. Just a tree-length away, a trio of cats looked upon in bloodlust.

"Hello, Puddlepounce." Shadowstripe was the first to emerge. "Hello, Shadowstripe!... Wait. Why are you on our territory?" She asked, a smile quickly morphing into a more-than-questioning stink-eye. "I just stopped by to say hello." "You still.. aren't allowed to. I'll keep this a secret, but why?" Shadowstripe began approaching her. "No reason." he meowed. "You're acting odd." Puddlepounce noticed as soon as it happened; suspicion printed on her muzzle. A decadent furrow of her brows, narrowing of her eyes and a stamping-mad pair of feet. "So I wanted to ask you something important." he politely lost distance between them. Puddlepounce backed off. "No," she glared at him. Closer and farther they went, until Puddlepounce was jogging. Then she was running, while pawsteps trailed after her.

Puddlepounce leapt. She ran. She ran as fast as her feet could carry her, and she was lead all the way to a cliff. "Don't struggle, Puddlepounce. Just relax." Shadowstripe spoke. "No.. so you were the killer." Shadowstripe chuckled. "No, I wasn't the killer." "Then why are you doing this?" the former queen screamed, anger in her words. She looked at him as if he was toxic scum on a stagnant pool. "I believed you were nice, Shadowstripe. And now you're.. you're going to kill me? For revenge?" she felt her footing loosen, and one of her back legs scittered off the edge of the cliff. She yipped and stood herself back up, with some hard work. The tom drew closer and closer. "Ah, so you've not gotten the irony of it all?" he meowed, a duller, lifeless pair of eyes replacing his own. "That's good, Shadowstripe." Swiftcloud's voice. Puddlepounce began to shake her head, her ears pouncing from side to side as her face turned over and over. "This is a nightmare. This isn't real." she began chanting to herself, as if she couldn't possibly fathom the fact that he.. he.. Swiftcloud? Was he really the killer, with some accomplices from the Clan? Was this..? Or a gang of rebels who were exiled? But it couldn't be, they killed Badgerfrost! Or perhaps the medicine cat was not one of them?

Then a third cat emerged. Puddlepounce's heart fell down the drain, way over the earth's core. "Wha.. why.. how..?" Puddlepounce felt tears emerge from her eyes. "Why you? I thought you were.. perfect." she tearfully whispered. "Too bad you think everyone is." Puddlepounce turned around, and instinctively, seeing the flooring of a nearby cliff, just adjacent to the one she was on- she jumped. A leap that could save her life, or ruin it forever. She put all this trust into her jump- as she crouched down, while the two toms around her began bounding towards the queen. How could they become such horrors? Shadowstripe didn't look beyond repair, but Swiftcloud.. he looked off. He looked very off, in fact, that he was almost unrecognizable in every aspect besides how he looked. How he spoke, how he walked, how he acted, how he moved, something corrupt had been going on here. As she was midway to her jump, she felt a pair of claws latch onto her tail. She screamed in agony as she was jerked backways, flinged onto the side of the cliff. Instead of pulling up, she felt them dig into her skin and break it. The blood covered her fur, and she screamed again with pain. "Stop! Just let me go!" The two toms on top of the cliff smiled, (which the queen didn't see) and pulled her up.

"Your turn." Shadowstripe meowed to the real killer. "Alright. Let's make this easy. Restrain her." they giggled, eyeing the she-cat as the horror in her face vaporized, replaced by depression. "I'll give you a choice. Join us, or die like everyone else." "Why are you doing this?!" she protested, waving her hips and shoulders, trying to be set free. "I have my reasons. I don't want to repeat." The she-cat squirmed again and again, waterworks streaming down her face, mucus from her nose as the heartbreak got her better side. "Don't struggle. I know this betrayal is hard to accept, but like I said, I have my reasons." "I could never betray my clan." Puddlepounce adamantly meowed. "I insist. Do you want to suffer like them?" "Yes, if it means I can protect my Clan!" said Puddlepounce, a furious aura exploding from her fur. "Throw her off, then. I don't want to waste my time." The killer sighed, with disappointment and annoyance. The she-cat was tossed off promptly, falling for what seemed to be a mile before she splatted on the ground, too tired and beat up to land on her feet. She felt the pain sprig from every corner of her body, before she felt the pain ease, while looking up at the cliff, surrounded by the cold snow and the mud. The molly weakly tried to stand, only to fall, like an autumn leaf. Wilted and tattered, the queen closed her eyes. "Oh..." her vision blurred, and she was greeted by the sight of her dead mate, and Sneezepaw.

Rainshadow was mourning. His apprentice's body had been found, limp and broken in the territory. And even though he didn't show it while Sneezepaw was alive, Rainshadow had cared for the annoying scrap. The longhaired tom lifted his head from his nest, staring at the medicine den. His best friend, and now his apprentice. A small snarl emitted from his jaws as Rainshadow left the warriors den. He flicked his tail at Blizzardleap. "I'm going hunting, don't bother assigning me any patrols."

Cherrystar watched silently as Rainshadow walked out of the warriors' den. She didn't come up to him, knowing that he wanted to be alone. She flinched slightly when he snarled. Was this what their clan had come to? Cats mistrustful of each other and forced to exile each clanmate? Please be careful. she wanted to tell Rainshadow. I can't afford to lose you too.

"I would like to call all cats for a clan meeting," called Cherrystar. She planned on having everyone always be with another when they went outside of camp. That way, maybe they could be safe.
