well maybe thats how, boys are th griffons girls the hippogriphs or vise virsa.

That sounds like a good idea.

Many griffons are referred to as males and hippogryphs referred to as females.

i mean the only differnce is what the rump part is.

And that hypogriffs have hooved back legs and antlers.

um, ive never seen a hippogryph with antlers, its got the rump of a horse in the fictions ive read never a deer.

Its a completely different version of hippogriff apparently. Its extremely rare.
