isamu is a native to the city of vale, one who grew up with a distaste for public
speaking and a hatred for failure. after all, he’s seen what failure can do first h
and. his parents had been some of those on the defense of mountain glenn, and
the failure of the settlement had driven his family into depression, with both hi
s parents feeling guilt for surviving the events. this didn’t stop isamu’s passion t
o be a Hunter- it only strengthened, and he would do his best to defend and pre
vent any future incidents. unfortunately, with his own resting glare, & a dislike
for talking to people in general, he was never the most sociable of children. wh
en he does speak, every word is carefully measured, in order to prevent his stut
ter from acting up. He gets annoyed at himself when he trips over words, and h
ates that people might look down on him for it. he uses his semblance to hide m
istakes, wanting to keep an image of perfection. he can use his power to null in
a variety of ways, but all things that he ‘takes out of existence’ come back after
a period of time. the larger the object it is, the harder it is to maintain. with his
idolization of hunters, isamu has also had a bit of a hero complex. he’d get in the
way of bullies, even if it lead into him getting attacked himself. isamu would use
his power to vanish his injuries, which lead to an ‘invulnerable hero’ image. he’d
hold his semblance until no one could see them return, even at a harsher penalty.

mitsu grew up in the kingdom of atlas. his father was one of those who
worked on developing the CCTS system, and the fascination of technolo
gy had never left him. however, his mother had been originally from ma
ntle, and the city of atlas never sat well with her. when Mitsu was aroun
d eleven, she left to return to her hometown, uncomfortable with the la
vish lifestyle in Atlas. always a bit of an odd kid, who’s focus on technolo
gy revolved around its use on people, mitsu was never often watched by
his parents- and though he was not unloved, he was never given proper g
uidance. he would often experiment on other students, and when stoppe
d from that, moved said experiments onto himself. his semblance, link, h
as always been with him, and it was one of the things he used in his little
experiments. mitsu had always had a naturally high pain tolerance, and w
ith his own odd tendencies, it only developed further. he’d always been a
very friendly child, and even helpful- so his odd tendencies were passed

the previous sun knight was a wise man who realized the truth- all sun knights
are frauds and therefore he went with the prettiest one. lencia was always a
lovely child, graceful and elegant and always willing to help out neighboring
citizens. most people overlooked his less than kind habit of drastic and petty
revenge, especially as lencia was able to sweet talk his way out of any trouble
he found himself in. with such attributes, he was easily chosen to become the
next sun knight. and then his master realized lencia's skill with light magic could
not be improved, and his swordplay remained average even under much tutelage.
upon asking lencia if there was anything he could do, the boy cheerfully replied
that he'd always been talented with cursing his enemies. he was told to never me
ntion that again in public, and was also promptly hooked up with one of the secre
tive necromancers within the kingdom who taught him much of what he knows. le
ncia often spent much time wandering around the castle, his bad memory extendi
ng only to readings and not places. a previous love of socializing, unfortunately, has
turned into one that he can't sustain as any words must mention the god of light in
some way. and even with his many crushes (he's fallen in love with about half the c
astle staff, at some point), he can never express them. occasionally he mourns the
loss of this, not having quite realized when he auditioned that he can never have a
relationship, even once passed on the sun knight title. his thoughts on this are of
ten mistaken for intense sermons, and have moved many a citizen to tears.
