Shawn was sitting on his bunk chewing his finger nails. He hadn't gotten any sleep since it was announced yesterday they were going to open the doors. His mind had been racing with thoughts, was the world still the same? would it be like how he remembered it? What happened to everyone else? His sister, Dani didn't seem to share his concerns. Her arm was slopped of the side of the bed and her snores were audible. She was in the bunk above him. He punched the mattress above his head. Dani woke up startled.
"Hey freakozoid, were you up all night?" Dani asked. Shawn nodded. She sat up and stretched. She took a long breathe as she remembered what was happening today.
"Do you think it's going to be the same? out there?" Dani asked aloud the question that had been stuck in her mind. She was only 9 when they went into the bunker. Her memories of the outside were snippets and foggy at best.
Shawn paused for a moment and considered before looking down and shaking his head, "No."
At that moment their alarm went off. "It's time." said Shawn dryly.
They got their same base beige clothing, everyone at the base wore, from the closet and dressed before heading into the dining hall.

FLAWS: He has ADHD so he can often drift away from conversations and has trouble staying focused
