She lead Beefeather over to the other side of the river, while Fernpaw stayed where she was and continued to catch fish. "Could you ask Flowerstar about Fernpaw's warrior ceremony?" She asked him. "Then I don't have to train an apprentice, and we can hunt together instead."

"I love you too..." He told her. "I'll talk to Flowerstar about Fernpaw's ceremony, I promise." He licked her cheek and padded over to Fernpaw. "Let's go back to camp. I need to speak with Flowerstar..." He told the apprentice. They started padding back to camp.

As they padded back to camp, Dandilionheart padded closer to Beefeather. "I have the perfect name for Fernpaw..." She whispered to him. "What is it?" He whispered back.

When they reached the camp, Dandilionheart and Beefeather padded into Flowerstar's den. "Flowerstar?" Beefeather called. His leader padded into the sunlight.

"Ahh! Dandilionheart and Beefeather! What can I do for you?" Flowerstar asked one of her trusted warriors and deputy.

Fernpaw was really excited. She went up to her brother and his friends. "I think I'm going to be a warrior!" She said.

"Beefeather and I were wondering if Fernpaw could become a warrior..." Dandilionheart hesitated. "I have a name for her, if that helps."

"That's great! It's too bad that I've only just been made an apprentice though..." She said. But she shared Fernpaw's excitement. 'I'll be a warrior soon, I'm sure of it!' She thought, beaming. She glanced at her sister. "Brairpaw, are you alright?" She asked, puzzled.

"Very well. I've spoken with Colorfur, and she/he said that Vinepaw is ready to become a warrior too. Colorfur has picked out Vnepaw's name too, Vinetooth, so what will Fernpaw's be?" She asked.

"I've asked myself this a couple of times, and I've decided that her name will be Fernwish..." She told Flowerstar. She had always been slightly scared of her leader, but with Beefeather by her side, she felt like she could do anything.
