"She was such a pretty little one. She looked like a rose at dawn." Darkheart sniffled.

Greyfoot choked a little. He lifted his muzzle, looking up at the sky as he saw the last stars of silverpelt disappearing. "..Rosekit," he meowed. "We should've named her Rosekit."

Darkheart followed Greyfoot's gaze to the sky.
"Rosekit. A pretty name for a pretty kit."

[hummxs]

Greyfoot sniffed, curling his tail around his mate. He relaxed a little as he heard a mewl from the nursery. "I guess you'd better check on the other kits," he meowed. "We don't want to lose them as well." He lifted Rosekit's body gently. "I'll bury her."

Orangebird yowled as she saw her mate dead her eyes in fury who did this! (She had her kits already)
She looked at Greyfoot and saw blood on his paws ''DID YOU DO THIS?'' She hissed

Greyfoot glanced at Orangebird, showing her the corpse of his kit. "He killed Rosekit." He didn't say anymore, just lashed his tail and padded off to bury his daughter.

Orangebird gasped ''No.''

Greyfoot padded out of camp. He was going slow at first, but he started to run. He held Rosekit firmly as he made it to his favorite spot in the whole territory. There was this one willow tree in the middle of a clearing. It had remained untouched in the fire. It's fronds flowed slowly in the wind as Greyfoot dug a small hole for his kit and placed her gently inside. He covered her up with dirt and pressed it down with a paw. He held his paw there, letting out a small wail before running back to camp.
