Wow. I completely fail at keeping fish. I had 5 tetras when I was 7, they died in a week. I had 2 guppies. Died in 2 days. Then I got this perfect little betta called Mr Smiggles (I was real creative with names) from an actual reliable pet store who told me how to not kill fish. I had him for 3 months and he was my baby. Then we got a snail to clean the tank. The snail brought in a disease or something, killed Mr Smiggles and then proceeded to eat him. My dad ended up chucking the snail on the lawn.
(Also I have a cat, my sig cat Snow, but she is wayyy too lazy to hunt even mice, she only occasionally does that. And she doesn't even realise the fish is alive, much less try to eat it XD)

I have six cats and still have fish. You just need a secure top. XD
The week and two days with the tetra's and guppies is actually something that happens commonly. Pet stores tell you to watch for shock in the fish during the transport because they're in a plastic bag full of water and scared really badly during the whole thing, so fish dieing within a week or sooner is pretty common.
And never trust a tank snail. They actually escape the tank a lot and move around before returning to the tank, thus bringing in disease and such.

Yeah, I'm never getting a snail again, lol. And the pet stores I went to never said anything about shock. My current store is actually really good and the lady there treats all the pets really well and gives good customer advice and instead of breeder cats and puppies she has shelter cats and puppies for adoption. <3
(Your cat is part lynx!? I'm pretty sure my grandad's dog was part dingo, but probably not cause he was the laziest fatty XD)
