Stormstar streched, shaking sleep from his eyes and leaping down from his nest. He strode out of his den, glancing around at his clanmates. The fresh-kill pile was low, and the brown-gold tabby blinked at it. "Snowstorm, Flypelt, Snaketooth, would you like to go hunting with me?" Stormstar licked his nose. Maybe Puddlepounce had gone for a drink, or needed a break from the kits? But surely she would have told us...

Sparrowpaw blinked her eyes open, awakened by Lilykit's yowling. She groaned under her breath, pushing herself to her paws. "What's going on?" she muttered tiredly, dragging herself to the nursery. When she saw that Puddlepounce had gone, her eyebrows began to furrow slightly in concern. "Don't worry, she probably just went for a walk or something," Sparrowpaw mewed reassuringly to Lilykit, yawning through her words. When Stormstar announced the hunting patrol, however, her fatigue was swept away. "Can I come?" she mewed eagerly, bounding up to the leader.

the tortiseshell tabby's pale green eyes slowly flickered open,
a soft groan escaping her maw. she slowly rose to her paws,
arching her back in a luxurious stretch as she padded off her
nest, rummaging through her herb stores for a moment before
padding outside, empty-pawed. she blinked as the sunlight
momentarily blinded her, ears twitching as the sound of faint
mewling roused her from her journey to the fresh kill pile. she
turned and made her way to the nursery, finding it empty of
the dark-coloured queen who was usually sitting there, kits
tumbling over her. she hummed in confusion, glancing down at
lilykit, making eye contact with the little kitten. "lilykit," she
began slowly, "do you know where puddlepounce went?"
the tortiseshell's bright pink nose twitched as she paused, hearing
stormstar call a patrol. she glanced over at the golden tom,
befor padding over. "might I come?" she asked, tilting
her head. "I need to gather a few more herbs for my stores,
we're low on comfrey and feverfew."

Shadowstripe awoke from his den with a yawn he licked his paw swiftly. Then got up. He heard commotion from his clan mates in the nursery. He padded towards there with concern. "What going on?" He asked worried.

Stormstar dipped his head to the medicine cat and apprentice. "Of course can come! Never can have too many cats out hunting, as I always say!" The tom chuckled. "Should we head out to the river?"

Sneezekit rose from his nest, awoken by Lilykit's yowling. He pushed himself past the a small crowd that had gathered to get to her. "Lilykit, what's wrong?" He asked her.

the tabby she nodded, tail til flicking lightly. "I might be able
to find some coltsfoot or fennel down there by the feverfew
plants..." she muttered to herself, whiskers twitching as she
glanced up at her leader.

[gallifrey falls.]

Sparrowpaw nodded eagerly, her eyes flickering up to the leader and medicine cat. The young she-cat kneaded the ground impatiently, her bright gaze sweeping over the camp in search of the warriors who were to go hunting with them. As she peered around, she noticed that a small crowd had begun to congregate around the nursery. Sparrowpaw's dark pelt prickled with unease.
