[Fox's Paradise]

Foxstride was roused by the noise outside the den. He briefly stretched his legs and burst out of the warrior's den, to see what was going on, and he caught sight of Oceanpaw. "Oceanpaw! What did I tell you? Yo-" The deputy cut himself off when he noticed the pool around the apprentice. "...She's dead. isn't she?" He muttered quietly, and shuffled away from the crowd.

cherryflame stretched, her wings fluttering a bit as she woke up. her ears twitched in shock as she heard the upset voices, and cautiously walked out of her den.
"w-what happened?" she asked worriedly, then saw the apprentices dead body and gasped.
"oh starclan...who would do something like this?" she asked in horror.

He looked to Stormfeather, ears back in fear.
"I-I don't know! We just saw her like... This!"
He looked around the other cats, seeing fear and horror in their eyes.

Turtleheart flinched awake upon the cries of her clan mates, and she sleepily hoisted herself into her paws. With groggy strides, she limped out of the warrior's den and into the clearing. The fear coming off the other cats was undeniable as soon as she entered the clearing, and she flattened her ears upon the site of Oceanpaw's body.

"What in StarClan!?" she screeched, averting her eyes in disgust. There is absolutely no way she would stare at the bloodied corpse of her clanmate. A horrible sick feeling washed over her.

"Who... who would do this?" she muttered, gagging.

[Pacific Northwest]

Pinekit opened his eyes to the sound of chaos and commotion. He quickly scanned the nursery, to find
that Adderkit was missing. Alarmed, he climbed out of the nest and joined the others outside to find
out what all this fuss was about. He had a hard time nosing his way through the crowd into the middle
of the clearing, but once he made it, his eyes were not prepared for the sight that met him. Oceanpaw,
one of ThunderClan's apprentice's was dead, lying in a crumpled position in a lake of dark red blood.

Horrified, Pinekit backed away, tripping over someone's paw as he tried to distance himself from the
dead body.

Stormleap had woken up late and went out of the warriors' den to see what the commotion was. She craned her neck over the crowd of cats, curious about the strange smell in the air. When she saw the limp body, she stepped back, her wings shrinking in horror; the smell had been death. A small body tripped over her paw, and she saw Pinekit stumble away. She could understand, wanting to step away from Oceanpaw's still body herself. Closing her eyes, she sent a small prayer to StarClan, hoping that the murderer would be apprehended.

Moonpaw's small figure trembled as she wondered what had happened. 'What in the name of Starclan.. Why?' She put her paws over her head, not able to take seeing Oceanpaw like that. 'I'm the medicine cat's apprentice, for Starclan's sake, I shouldn't be this easily scared!' she thought to herself, but she didn't have the heart to act brave.

Honeypaw yawned as he crawled out of the den and stretched. His ear twitched as he heard a commotion and noticed a group of his clanmates worrying over something. Spotting Moonpaw, he trotted over to her confusedly and asked, "What happened?" Then, in a softer tone, he asked, "Is everything okay?"
