The way I see it, the longer we have to wait for another season the better~. That means higher quality and more thought into the story and direction so that we don't end up disappointed. Besides, with how volatile the fandom is right now, it could certainly use a bit of time to cool off. It's way too powerful of a marketing force to just up and abandon, anyways. All we can do is hope that it doesn't fall into the same hiatus hell as P&SWG.

That's all a matter of personal interpretation. Also, it's important you know I don't really ship Viktuuri,so that does colour my judgment. Though I will say this: They'd better give us a legit, on-screen kiss next season or there may be a revolt.

I did read an enjoyable series of short fics called "A real-life cinnamon roll" on AO3, which consisted of Yuuri the Japanese teacher constantly having his class interrupted by his husband and such. Just a lot of fun.

there's a rumor that the creator of YOI spoke about having a season 2 and that they'd be working on it after the actually championship in real life. I'm really hoping for a season two though ^-^

Fyi the director said it was a kiss on Twitter. It's meant to be interpreted as a kiss.

They made the kiss ambiguous so that it didn't get labeled as a BL anime, which wouldn't have been allowed to air on TV

The creators said that it BARELY passed network censors. They had to hide the kiss behind Viktor's arm so the network would air their show.
