did i get a legit shiny growlithe from wonder trade?

hello! i've been wanting to join this club for a while, before i left cs for a bit, but since I'm slowlyy coming back I thought it would be great for me to join (:

I only got a 3ds for christmas, but I've wanted to play Pokemon for ages beforehand, and since I got Pokemon Moon for christmas too, I am hookedd. I have finished it, but I'm still trying to fill my Pokedex for a shiny charm ahh ;o;

sadly i lost my lucky egg so it's been going pretty slowly (': most of the pokemon I need to fill my dex have to evolve, so rip me. I think I lost it as I probably put it on a pokemon I wondertraded oops

anyway, i'm glad that there's a place to talk about pokemon, and I'm happy I'm joining this club since I've wanted to join for a while now lol

@paws00001 check where it was captured? if it is a place where you don't usually meet growlithes, it's probably hacked. also, check the hp bar. most hacked pokemon i've noticed have the bar 'to the next level' empty.

id say it's legit, and if not at least legal. I don't think you should use it in online competitions until you have unlocked the tree and judge option just to be safe in case it is incredibly hacked (though I doubt it) so you don't get in any trouble.

ahh welcome back to CS! I'm still trying to comport my dex for the shiny charm as well, mainly because I got side tracked with the poke bank update and wanted to get all the Pokemon I liked from other regions first. That said though, I am happy to help get you any outside region Pokemon you like or help you with this dex as well! If you have any questions my inbox is also open c:
I think there may be an option to get a second lucky egg but I'm not sure, though I do wish you luck with that! Training for levels in front of the battle tree is also a good spot to get levels quickly in general too, golduck especially.

I agree with @76heart, it seems to be quite legit, but wait until the battle tree to check the iv's if you were to use it online.

@76heart thank you for your help! I've tried to look it up, but I'm pretty sure you only get 1 Lucky Egg in-game sadly. and yep, I've been training outside the battle tree, but without the lucky egg it's quite slow :\ still i think I can still do it without it, I'll just have to keep grinding in my spare time.
@caligulasPeri I think I gave it to a pokemon which I wondertraded. I've gone through my boxes and I can't find it in there either; I guess whoever got that 'mon is lucky :')

Guys I don't mean to sound negative but the odds of you getting a legit shiny on wondertrade are way worse than actually finding or hatching one. Most shinies on wondertrade are going to be genned or cloned. You can't tell just by looking at the stats if it is hacked or cloned.

If you try trading them please let the person you're trading with know that it's probably not legit.

You won't get banned by Nintendo for having them in your boxes. Definitely don't use them in online competitions though.
