He raised his eyebrows, "Well now, I'm sure I don't know. Not many she-cats in my clan to test them on." He sat neatly, his tail curled around his tawny paws, the end flicking slowly back and forth.

Without warning Malloweyes suddenly got to he paws and snapped, "Enough," with such cold intensity that Burntsoul obeyed, if reluctantly. The dark warrior picked herself off of the limp body of the Tumbleclan medicine cat. She wore a scowl and kicked the unconscious Russetleaf irritably. "Why'd you stop me? I had her!" Burntsoul whined, looking like she was going to throw a kit-fit. "I told you we needed her alive. Besides, I think she'll cooperate now." Malloweyes turned her attention from her clanmate to the battered body before her, "Now won't you?" she crooned patting the cat's soft red fur as if lulling a kit to bed. Her next order though was unmistakably harsh in it's tone. "Rub the bodies together, I want all scents and blood and fur scraps to point to their having an argument. And wash yourself in the river while you're at it." Burntsoul nodded and did as instructed, pausing only briefly to ask, "What are we going to do with her?" "Oh she'll come too soon enough, we'll just leave her here at the scene of the crime."

"We have thirty." Wildpoppy mewed, her tail wiggling. "With two litters on the way. One of the litters belongs to my brother!" She mewed, her chest puffing out in pride.

"You'll get there." Wildpoppy mewed, smiling softly. "It takes a while but it's worth it in the end." The calico looked away for a moment, observing the bare trees around them. "I wonder why nobody has claimed this territory yet."
