"Can I?" Malloweyes shook her head 'no' to the eager warrior, amused at her longing to dig her claws into something larger than a squirrel. "But-" "No I think that we can work out a mutually beneficial arrangement. We tell the truth and no one else dies-" But Burntsoul hadn't listened, instead taking advantage of Malloweyes's speech to launch herself onto Russetleaf and start writhing with the she-cat on the forest floor. The elder clucked her tongue in exasperation but made no move to end the quarrel. "Just don't kill her," she mewed mildly, inspecting Skunkbrush's body besides her like the current fight was of no real importance, "We do need her alive. For now."

''Please listen to Malloweyes....'' she whimpered, staring at the blood-hungry Burntsoul. It was far too late, the tabby warrior had struck. Claws ripping into her fur like tongues of fire, Russetleaf tried in vain to tear herself away from Burntsoul. It was futile. She was weak and the tabby was strong. ''Malloweyes!'' she cried, only to spot the elder wearing the most coldest, the most frigid look she had ever seen.

Talonstar and Snowheart share a glance, hesitating for just a pawstep, before they continue on with the apprentice. Talonstar is somewhat curious about the other Clans in the area, and he figures AsterClan will be as good a start to get to know as any.

Wildpoppy scrambled to her paws, shaking the snow out as much as she could. "This is neutral territory." She mewed defensively. "I have no interest in going into Swiftclan's territory." The calico padded closer to the tom, eyeing him curiously.

"You look familiar. Have you gone to gatherings before? I'm Wildpoppy of Echoclan."

Without warning Malloweyes suddenly got to he paws and snapped, "Enough," with such cold intensity that Burntsoul obeyed, if reluctantly. The dark warrior picked herself off of the limp body of the Tumbleclan medicine cat. She wore a scowl and kicked the unconscious Russetleaf irritably. "Why'd you stop me? I had her!" Burntsoul whined, looking like she was going to throw a kit-fit. "I told you we needed her alive. Besides, I think she'll cooperate now." Malloweyes turned her attention from her clanmate to the battered body before her, "Now won't you?" she crooned patting the cat's soft red fur as if lulling a kit to bed. Her next order though was unmistakably harsh in it's tone. "Rub the bodies together, I want all scents and blood and fur scraps to point to their having an argument. And wash yourself in the river while you're at it." Burntsoul nodded and did as instructed, pausing only briefly to ask, "What are we going to do with her?" "Oh she'll come too soon enough, we'll just leave her here at the scene of the crime."

SandLeap gave the molly a mock bow, tucking one front paw under him and ducking his head, "SandLeap of SwiftClan, at your service." He smiled, his charming, sweep-her-off-her-paws smile that turned mollies hearts to mush, "Anything I can do for you?"

Wildpoppy snorted in amusement, tilting her head to the side. "No, I'm good." She mewed, slightly amused at the tom. Her bobbed tail wiggled again, which only happened when she was amused or excited. "Well, aren't you charming." The calico laughed, rolling her eyes slightly.

The Tom smiled at WildPoppy, "I do my best." he admitted playfully, "You seem to have rather mastered that skill yourself."

The calico she-cat chuckled slightly, settling back into a sitting position now that she assumed she wouldn't be in any danger. "Do your smooth words work on other she-cats, Sandleap?" She mewed, her whiskers twitching in amusement.
