Well, things have died down, there's an empty building where Chuck E. Cheese used to be, and my kids are so upset they used the f word. But I don't think this is going to get on the news. The media wasn't allowed within a 15 yard radius of the courthouse, and all the people involved in the case besides the identity thief signed some sort of confidentiality agreement. We don't want people swarming our town to get info on this thing, so we basically forced them to shut their mouths about this. The identity thief was arrested, as were his lawyers. But then again, I wouldn't be surprised if this was some scam by my local newspaper. The newspaper has a lot of money, but they want to get more widespread, so I wouldn't put it beneath them to puppeteer this whole thing. So it might actually be bad fiction, but not bad fiction engineered by me, engineered by the newspaper. Reporters these days will do anything to get a story. Considering how much of the news in the paper is so unbelievable, I'd say this was probably just some scam they pulled to get tourists into town, which would make the Village Council VERY ANGRY, because as I said, most of the villagers prefer the isolation we have.

very strange of the courthouse, though, and possibly illegal; there are provisions in the law that ensure that many court cases are public law, and records can be requested through information acts, with the confidentiality agreements straight-up illegal as matters of court are public record. similarly, i'm having a hard time with a newspaper that stages all this for fame and yet doesn't want the story to get out... there are villages that keep to themselves but if one party is highly motivated enough to lie to this extent that includes buying real estate/staging or paying for construction to begin/going to the courthouse multiple times/puppeteering this entire thing, i am sure that the first thing they'd do - if they are doing this for fame, of course - is to spread the story far and wide, which is easily done via the internet. (usually this is done via AP press release. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/external/s ... CTION=HOME but as you can see, i am finding nothing besides mentioning about the top iphone apps, wherein fnaf hit their radar once. the only other news i can find about fnaf or scott in lawsuits is again the story about the fake fnaf 4 that hit the iphone app market, which is of legal interest far and wide in that scott is suing to find out the identity of the faker and thus sue them ( http://www.forbes.com/sites/davidthier/ ... 09953c7274 is a quick writeup from forbes) - but this is in 2015. i cannot find anything more recent.

you see why it all comes across as very fishy. a paper orchestrated something elaborate to report on, but isn't reporting on it? a newspaper firm does all this elaborate setting up of a scam for fame, but then doesn't want any of the potential fame it could be getting from it? this is especially true after you mentioned that your area is serviced by the washington post. the washington post is a reputable newspaper that is more than ever at the forefront of the internet. however all they mention is the apple store rankings from the AP. they have reported on gaming events before (for example, currently covering pewdiepie's crashing and burning at the moment) and seem to have their foot firmly in the door for such events as to appeal to a segment of online customers. however, the top apps list is the only mention i can find of fnaf or scott.

this is aside from the details of the story. i know many places are self-isolating, but if your government is saying you can't even come near the courthouse, i doubt the legality of that action. the legal system is also required to maintain transparency by law, not only to the people in its village, but to all those higher up in the chain in bigger cities. the american justice system does not work by isolation - we have a system of courts, not individual ones.

in short this news story should be in the news about ten times over by now. the fact that all that has apparently been found is a photograph which was easily traced back to a wiki for making fake logos and a prank, as you'll remember, and this is beyond fishy.

i will leave it to others to assign blame as to who is spinning the yarn, but to be blunt, i think that fiction spun as fact doesn't have a place in this club - especially when it is fiction so bad at being realistic. let us respect our fellow club members and pull their legs, and have a clear deliniation between fact and fantasy. fanfic and stories are great. but someone's trying to pull a fast one here, rather ineffectively, and i do not want to speculate who is responsible for the lying. i merely want to put forth the idea that it's so cheaply done that it is not worth the time of the people here, because at this point it is becoming very clear that this is fiction trying to badly masquerade as fact.

let us let the fanfiction be fanfiction, and the news articles be actual news articles, in other words, and not derail the club with constant attempts to chase down somebody's pathetic attempt at pulling a fast one. i think the case is no longer of interest to anyone in the club, being such obvious and crude fiction.

so let us talk about other things perhaps more relevant to everyone's enjoyment of the game instead. :)

Ok, I will admit, I wanted to see how long I could drag you guys on, I figured it went on too long, so I thought I should have killed it off sooner. I figure it was kind of dumb, so forgive me if anyone is mad at me for this crazy idea I came up with, this all came to me in a dream, and I normally share dreams in some way. I wasn't trying to pull a fast one, I was just having a bit of fun expressing a dream I had where a FNAF pizzeria opened, and it got a bit out of hand, I wasn't sure how to break it because everyone seemed so interested that I thought it would create a huge fuss when I let the cat out of the bag. That's normally how my stories play out, they seem realistic, but as time goes on you begin to question them

Don't ban me, I won't do this sort of thing again, I'll just share my dreams normally

Anyway, what would you guys think if there was a game where Scott teaches us how to code our own FNAF game?

I've known it was just a story but at least it kept the club somewhat active.

sharing dreams is fine.

but please have a little respect for your fellow club members as fellow human beings. we are not science experiment participants; this is not an expendable relationship we are supposed to be building.

it was very clear from the beginning that it was a lie, and quite frankly i only went along with it because i wanted you to admit what you were doing. instead you have diligently dug your own grave until now, dodging many possibilities to own up to the fact you were lying, and instead dedicated yourself to making the lie worse, and worse, and worse.

do i have the power to ban you? no. but i'm not going to make conversation here with you any longer, because you have shown you have zero respect for me and other members as people. you decided to lie to us (and not, i hasten to add, even a believable lie, but one of the stupidest i've heard, one of the most easily verifiable as a lie, but you decided to talk as if it was truth again, and again, and again)... why exactly should i give you the time of day, now?

sure, i can't ban you, but if you're going to lie - not even an entertaining lie at that - and then offer a halfhearted "haha my bad" apology instead of taking true responsibility for your lie, i can sure as hell slap you on ignore and refuse to make conversation with you. why should i when you don't give me the most basic respect, after all? or the club the most basic respect of not using it as a playground for lies, but instead deciding that your lies were more important than actual discussion we're all here to talk about?

but that is ultimately irrelevant to the club, and i apologise for taking up the space talking about it. this is what the foe feature is for, after all.

anyway!

do people still do fanamatronics (fan-made animatronics)? i know they were really popular around fnaf 2-3, but i haven't seen so many around after sister location.

anyone want to tell us about theirs? :) i would be happy to do a short drawing tutorial thing about drawing them, too, and a quick summarization of the differences between a fnaf 1-3 animatronic and a sister location animatronic, to better aid people in drawing theirs, too.

If either of you wish to discuss this matter with me, you're welcome to in my PM Inbox. I honestly couldn't have said it any better. I know I've been busy but I've been watching the thread lately. I'm still trying to decide on what action I should take towards this issue.

As for fanimatronics, I haven't made any myself but I'd love to see your guys's creations.

I don't really have any fanimatronics anymore, I have a few animatronic characters but there aren't fnaf related. my former fanimatronics (I don't think you guys would remember any of them, they were made back when the first game recently had released and the fandom was very small, especially on CS, but I had Taiga the tiger, Carly the cat, Roxy the raccoon, Winter the wolf and Ollie the ocelot) for the most part aren't even animatronics anymore, they're different characters for an original story of mine now and the only ties to their roots as fnaf characters are occasional easter eggs I like to throw in and some aspects of their appearance.

Yep, I'm the same way. I only had one, Dave the Fire Drake, if anyone remembers him. I drew a couple of pictures, made a little sculpture, wrote a story, but the way I chose to end that story, I didn't see where else I could go with him. So next thing I know, he's been forgotten. I made him to fit in with the FNaF2 storyline, so once the games started to pour in, Dave got pushed out.

Thankfully, my beloved Fire Drake has now been turned into a real drake, and is in my current novel. So I can still play with him. But the animatronic side of him died.

And I never saw to make any others, since I didn't have any new ideas that wouldn't be ripping off of others.
Megaguirus gets distracted by a butterfly. So pretty.

honestly i have a lot of characters that "debuted" as fan characters, too, and then became so big that the setting could no longer hold their personalities, so to speak :) ....or, if you're as unimaginative as i am, and as bad at writing stuff in original settings as i am, they just go from setting to setting to setting. i think poor Harpalyce has gone through at least 5 different settings so far, sometimes under slightly different names...

it's nice though to find a setting that fosters creativity! i feel like my generation's big thing was harry potter. it's cool to see that generation n-1 of mine so to speak is so inspired by fnaf. :D

i'm sure my own fanimatronic is ripping off someone, somewhere - to be honest that idea is, i think, perhaps a bit overblown in this particular sphere of the internet, as we all draw on common tropes - but she is merely Miss Priss the cat, introduced as part of a misguided healthy initiative by Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria to get kids to wash their hands. only somebody forgot to program in Miss Priss checking the temperature of the water before she dragged kids over and made them wash their hands. ...or that they should... stop... washing... their hands.... in the scalding hot water.

anyway you can fill in the blanks as to why in my bit of fandom addon to fnaf Miss Priss was disabled as quickly as she was brought to the pizzeria, lol

Goodness, I must have been in the parts and service room for who knows how long! Last time I posted here was right after sister location was first revealed, and even before that I haven't been active!
But guess who awoke from their long slumber and has returned? T'is I, the mighty.... actually, I don't know what you would call me. Inactive, maybe? XD
But hopefully I will be more active, particularly with the new fnaf book coming out and possibly a SL sequel, if that ever happens. *crosses fingers*
But anyways, it's good to be back.

On the topic of fanimatronics, I still have VERY many of those who I draw quite frequently. However this does reflect my involvement in the fandom, which is still very high as I never really stopped obsessing over the game after fnaf 1. I have too many to actually name off the top of my head, and some do get forgotten, but I do try to draw them often and keep them active. It's quite sad, really, seeing the fandom just dissolve, but it actually gives me hope that it will only improve with quality games like sister location that the true fans can enjoy without the fanboys hanging over their heads and calling them cancerous. :] Either way, I still love making them and drawing them! Some of them are so developed it is hard to imagine what they would be like if I hadn't spent so much time creating them and placing them in canon situations to expand their character.

@Megaguirus
I actually quite fondly remember Dave! The images you posted here were quite stunning honestly, and I am glad he is getting the attention he deserves. It is nice to see that you have him in a novel! <3 He was a very interesting fanamatronic.
@Lavender Lullabies
If I remember correctly, you did upload a few images of them, but I may be wrong as I remember a lot of fanimatronics swarming our fanclub back then XD 2014-2015 was a very active fanimatronic year. However the Taiga does ring a bell?

And I may or may not have doodle our mascot >:) Poor baby seems a bit forgotten, so I thought it would be nice to perk him up a bit with a drawing!

UPDATE;; July | 20 | 2020

|| I've officially left this site. To those who built me up, who encouraged me, who offered me company and roleplayed with me despite my rather juvenile behavior, and who joined me in OC competitions, I want to thank you! This site introduced me to things that would mold and impact my life forever, and would help me find my dream career and grow myself as a person. I may have moved on from CS, but I will never forget my roots, nor will I forget the sheer happiness this site brought and the amazing people I've had the incredible pleasure of meeting. Thank you all so much for helping me to get to where I am today. <3 ||

If you happen to see this, you may find me at @Birds.For.Brains on Instagram, or @Wrenkenstein on DA!
