Small question to all those hoarders out there: What do you hoard more, event pets or monthly pets?

I'm more of a monthly pets hoarder. I love the event pets a lot, but monthly pets are easier on demand sometimes.

I don't quite think about it? If I like a pet enough, I hoard it, no matter if it's event or monthly pet. xD

on the other hand, I've started a new hoard, and it remains unnamed for now. I want ten of each. maybe 20, when I think about it. but what I also want is for there to be a pattern, which would be an incredibly hard task to do. I want every other to be yellow/orange?, and every other to be purple. the best way I've found for that to happen - so far - is if I collect a bunch of these pets, then remove almost all of them so it leaves the pattern I want.

does anyone have a hoard like that? has anyone made that work?

all I know is it would look really pretty if I did it.

I want to say, just from counting a couple of my hoards, that it seems pretty evenly split. Now that I've disbanded my unfinished collection (and am constantly downsizing it even now) I had more fodder so I started up a bunch of hoards that I never would have considered before. So my event hoards shot up in number just due to the fact that I was willing to spend time and fodder trying to get the ones I'd admired from years past but never gone for.

I think I'm more likely to hoard event pets, though, just due to the fact that they usually have some of the most unique designs. I love a lot of the monthly pets too, especially within the last few months, so it's not like I'm hard-pressed to find anything to hoard. Anyone who even glances at my unfinished hoards can see that I have WAY too many pets I like on this site, and that the number of unfinished hoards I have is constantly growing...please send help.

Sound like it'll be pretty with this litter!
It's usually called a checker hoard, and there's a few people here who I know to do this a lot. Raire sure has an affinity for this type of hoard :3
Pets in a group are sorted by their ID numbers, so if you want to avoid having to trade for too many pets, you can try getting the exact number you need, and then strategically swap them with other people to get pets with IDs that'd allow you to checker the hoard.
It's a bit of effort, of course, but it'll keep you busy and leave you with a gorgeously patterned hoard c:


I've barely gotten any trading done the past two days because I was a bit preoccupied, but finally finished my CNY rooster cat hoard!
Glorious Gary's Gang is now at 50 cats; originally I wanted 30, but then ended up with some extras, and you know how it goes :')

I have the same hoard! They're just so gorgeous I couldn't resist.

And I agree on the chicken cats. Some of the most beautiful designs in the history of cs!

fudge, think i opened up my 3rd? hoard. i saw like 500 rats in peoples for trade stuff, and that they really didn't like them, and their we're so many in the pound, ugh, i'm gonna start hoarding rats. all years, rarity, pps or not... i only have like, 5? rats, haha.
ah i hate myself for doing another hoard, even though i dont have many...

Thanks to some recent offsite trades, a couple of my hoards have had a good boost!

I also finally reached 50 of these guys, and even though I originally wanted them to be unlimited, I think I'm gonna cap them here because they've become pretty difficult to find.

I would say I mostly hoard monthly pets. I actually try to avoid event pet hoards, but I've fallen for and hoarded a couple of them here and there! The advent in particular tends to get me at least once!
