I would comment on everyone's new characters and art individually, but I don't have time. However, the new characters and art are lovely, everyone!
How do you usually name your oc's? Does it take you long to get the "perfect" name?
I consider myself to be an "impulse" namer, meaning that the first name that pops into my head generally fits the character. Examples are Elara, my new horse character. For those of you interested in the "Red Queen" series, Elara is one of the behind-the-scenes villians, but the name just felt right. Another two examples are Bruno Versi and Rema, two RPWs. No joke; those were the first things that popped into my head, and I haven't had any regrets since. For those two, at least. For some characters, I ask other people to help me or I get inspiration from other languages. For example, Kaldi, my newest RPW, is named after the goat herder who supposedly discovered coffee after the artist made a comment on how hard the "coffee kid" was to draw. Other example are Roah ("tranquility" in Hebrew) and Olein ("deer" in Russian), where I translated a word from another langauge that I thought was cool. Finally, some characters are intentionally named after people I know or characters from books/movies. For example, I knew a person named "Shanie" and another named "Aiden". I have characters named after both. It rarely takes long to find a good name because there are so many words to choose from, and I generally know what feels right. I hope this helps!

amazingly! I have co-authored a paper on
them, which is very exciting. In other
news, I'm a lil' nervous about the future
again but I'm hopeful things will work out.
