There seems to be a lack of talent roleplays out there on CS ;-; The only one I currently know that's *active* is Cirque de la Lune.
Would anyone be interested in a roleplay that involved some sort of talent competition? Because I'm somewhat dying to make one at the moment.
Of course I'd also be looking for a co-owner, because these days I can't always get on.

Yeah, sorry about that Gwen Trix. I've got exams all this week, and posting doesn't look like its going to happen. I might try and squeeze in a post tonight, but there is no guarantee.
:3
Sorry once again.

Oohhh a roleplay like that would be WONDERFUL <3 As soon as I read this I really wanted to roleplay in one :o
[Oh and if it's okay with you, I'd like to be co-owner if I was allowed to be? :3]

LessThanThree: It's alright, our state is doing the standardized testing this week and next week too. But luckily it's the last year for me.

Skylar: You know I would completely accept you as a co-owner! Go ahead c;

I've got that D&D-based RPG I mentioned earlier mostly set up and will probably be posting it soon - some of the details on how things work might get changed around a bit depending on how the gameplay goes (if it does at all, that is XD), but the basics are all in place. Is anyone here interested in joining up as a test subject fresh victim player? You don’t need to be familiar with D&D to play, but it might help to know the basics. I'd only be taking on six players at the most to start out with, just to keep things easier to manage. The rough idea of the RP/RPG is:

Your character starts out as a farmhand in a small community set in a medieval fantasy world, and decides to strike out in search of fame, fortune and adventure. Everything in the world itself, including places, non-player characters, items, animals, plots, etc., is created and controlled by me as the Game Master, and players move their characters around in this world, interact with it and each other, and uncover new items, places, plots and adventures as they go along. There's no ultimate goal to the RP that your characters need to achieve or any one set solution to each quest you might come across, as the players are fairly free to make their own choices on where the RP goes, what their characters do, how they want to try solving problems, and so on. Characters can gain skills, equipment, money, items, etc. as they go, and it's pretty much up to the player to decide what they want their character to become. Mighty adventurer? They can do that. World-famous musician? Yep. Circus performer with a platoon of perfectly-trained trapeze-artist mice? Go for it. Unlike most D&D-style RPGs, your character isn't limited to being a hack-n-slash adventurer if you want them to be something different.

So far as the RP part goes, players can't create objects, people/animals or places - for example, if your character walked into a shop, all you could say at that point is "<Character> walks into the shop." I'd then post a description of the shop and everything in it, and your character would then be able to interact with those things and people. General atmosphere description stuff is okay, like if your character is walking through a field and you mention the birds singing, the wind blowing through the grass, etc., but your character couldn't suddenly see a giant bear charging toward him or find a sword on the ground unless I had already told you that those things were there. You can RP with the other players as normal, with friendships, quarrels, romances, etc. between your characters, so that part is much the same as a regular RP.
