"I think it would be a good experience for us if we went. We'll have to find a way to get there, but we can think about that later." Inigo continued on their little walk, fiddling occasionally with the bottom of his shirt. He could see the gym in the distance, and it was making his habits come up. He wasn't exactly nervous, but the thought of going against another gym leader and earning his fourth badge was exciting. While Leia was a little ahead of him in the badge department, it didn't stop him from thinking that they were almost equal in power. They often trained together, and he watched her battle against others many times before, so he knew what her battle style was like. She definitely put her all into her battles, never letting herself slip up. Her Pokémon were experienced too, and worked in sync with their trainer. It always made him want to work harder at his own goal, and see his partners grow.

Looking around, Inigo attempted to spot the library, but couldn't see it from where they were, so instead just spoke. "If we can, I'd like to visit Canalave's public library. I've heard great thinks about it, and I'm hoping to spot a few rare books I've never read before. I even heard they have books on Legendary Pokémon." His gaze slowly turned towards the ocean again, thinking about the vaste amount of Legendary Pokémon he'd read about before. Almost lost in thoughts, he quietly asked his companion, "Do you think we'll ever meet one?"

Seeing all the ships Leia imagined it wouldn't be astronomically hard to find a ride out to sea. Surely
some of these sailors would trade a good battle for passage or even just be kind enough to grant them
one. "I think we could find one, there might be someone in the Pokémon Center who could help us."
She said, generally that's where most people congregated for things. Those looking for work or battles
or really anything could find likeness there.

Inigo's soft question sparked deep thoughts for Leia. Would they ever be so privileged to encounter a
legendary Pokémon? After a careful pause she responded, "I think that if we stay on this path to be
among the strongest- then surely at some point we might." Once they did become top trainers and
masters of battle, one of Sinnoh's finest they it wouldn't be out of the question to possibly run across
legendaries. Leia recalled old tales of the Elite Four members or others like them who helped protect
mythical Pokémon from sinister forces who wanted to abuse their power.

"I think I see the Gym over there." Leia said with a slight gesture ahead of them. The rocky walls had
the Pokémon League symbol imprinted in a silver design above the insignia of the Mine Badge.

Inigo felt a little bit happier at knowing Leia had confidence in his dream. Ever since he was a child, he'd heard stories of how the legendary Pokémon protected and kept the balance of everything. Those stories had inspired him to do the same thing, except on a lower scale, of course. He hoped they could really see one at some point in their lives, even if it was when they grew old. Even a glimpse would satisfy him. Looking up at the sky, a small smile formed on the young man's face.

Inigo was quickly snapped out of his thoughts when his companion pointed out their proximity to the gym. The place was a lot bigger than he had imagined, and you could tell from the design that it's gym leader preferred steel types. It was quite spectacular to see, and his hopes grew just that little bit more. "Do you have a strategy planned for this battle? Steel types are really powerful, and often times have excellent defense stats," he asked Leia. He himself was planning on using speed to his advantage, a stat most of his team excelled at. It was also the typical plan he used for casual battles, seeing as it worked out well for him. If the opponent couldn't land a hit, he would never lose. He would drain the opposing Pokémon's health slowly, but it was worth it in the end.

"I'll be using my effective fire types," Leia said picturing Roman, Adonis, and Lucina. "while also being
sure to have Bellona and Titana battle too." Her other two were part fighting type which would benefit
them in the battle. Leia recalled that some of Byron's Pokemon were Bastiodon, Bronzor, Steelix,
Magneton, and some others. Her Lycanroc, Romulus, looked up at her with a saddened expression on
his face. Leia stroked his head as they walked, the poor rock type had a bad weakness to steel types.

As they approached the Gym Leia was feeling uneasy. The emotion was solidified as a grim man burst
out of the doors in a rush and sped past them. Leia thought it was peculiar and the man was followed
by an upset youngster and a sturdy adult. The adult had burgundy hair and Leia recognized him to be
the Gym Leader, the man of steel. He had a cross expression and appeared very stoic, until he spoke.

"You're Trainers aren't you?!" He commanded, and without waiting for an answer ordered "Go after
that thief there who stole this boy's Pokemon!" He said angrily. With no hesitation Leia spun on her
heels and began to sprint in pursuit of the man. Romulus ran along side her and she let out Titana
to use her aura to help trace the thief.

Inigo felt an immense sort of pressure as the man commanded them to go after the thief. Of course they would, but it happened so suddenly he wasn't quite prepared for something like this. One moment, he's peacefully thinking about how to defeat the gym leader, and the next, he's chasing after a Pokémon thief. Thankfully, he recovered rather quickly from shock, and he was running after Leia in a pinch. He noticed that she had asked for the help of her Lucario, Titana, to track the guy down. For now, he would just follow them, and send out one of his own teammates when the time was right. Lucius would be a good option, since he could subdue the man with his psychic powers. The trainer had been working on Lucius' power for quite some time now, and he was sure the Pokémon would be capable of body manipulation. Psychic types were useful in that sort of way, but t often times made them dangerous. "Well, I certainly wasn't expecting this to happen... he said under his breath, referring to their chase.

They ran after the crook, Leia led the way after her Lucario who ran with her eyes closed and aura
searching ahead of them. Her Lycanroc easily kept up with Leia while they avoided civilians and other
obstacles. The thief was pumping his arms fast at his sides as he dashed away. The feeling of anger
was settling in over her as they ran through the city. Her lungs were holding out, with much thanks to
being so active and eating healthily on their journey.

The man hurried past a building and quickly took a turn down an alley. A spark set off inside Leia's
mind, she knew how to catch him. "Keep on him! I'm gonna cut him off!" She said to Inigo. She had
Titana stay with Inigo still using aura to trace the thief. Leia changed directions and quickly moved
down the next street aiming to reach the other end of the alley before the crook emerged from it.

As she ran Leia released her Blaziken, Roman, from his ball with Romulus still hot on her heels. They
reached the other side of the alley with the man still passing through it. He recognized Leia's stance
to stop him and he skidded to a halt letting out his own Pokemon, an Electrode and an Ambipom.

Getting the thief trapped between the two of them was not a problem, however, Inigo hadn't accounted for the fact that the man had his own set of Pokémon. An Electrode, and an Ambipom, if he remembered their names correctly. They'd have to knock them out before they could get any further, so with some quick thinking, he released his Kirlia, shouting out, "If you don't hand over that kid's Pokémon right now, you'll be very sorry! We won't tolerate people like you. When the man didn't obey his orders, Inigo prepared for the worst. Almost immediately the thief commanded his Pokémon, sending his Electrode after himself, Lucius, and Titana. Thankfully, Lucius was always predicting an opponents next actions, and put up a Protect barrier. The thunderbolt attack never reached them, and he gritted his teeth a little. "Lucius, use Psychic attack on that Electrode! Without delay, his partner followed his command perfectly, leaving the electric Pokémon with some good damage. It wasn't over yet though, and Lucius could only handle one opponent at a time right now. He'd rely on Leia to deal with the Ambipom.

"Don't let any of Electrode's attack hit anybody, Lucius. Use Light screen." It would definitely be a problem if they were stuck with a lightning attack, so he'd try his best to prevent that. The Kirlia put up the Light screen, protecting the other Pokémon, and the trainers from taking a direct hit. Enraged by the actions, the thief seemed to be dedicated to wipe the floor with them.

Leia's Pokemon moved into positions for battle. Titana remained at Inigo's side with her flared out
to maintain a steady view on all of them, just encase the theif tried to escape. Lycanroc stood at
the ready behind Leia and Roman who were battling the Ambipom. They were engaged in a duel
between the normal type's Fury Swipes and Blaziken's Black Kicks. Roman managed to overpower
the foe's Pokemon and blasted it against the wall. However, the Ambipom wasn't a push over and
quickly jumped back into battle with an effective move being Acrobatics. Roman wasn't a highly
tolerant Pokemon and Leia launched forward with him using Double Kick and Brick Break.

She quickly glanced down the alley to see that Inigo was holding his own against the Electrode.
Her own, Roman, collided with the Ambipom in a mix of Bounce and Double Kick. They met head
on and both were pushed back with Roman taking more damage than the foe. The Blaziken jumped
again to met the normal type in a test between Bounce and Thunder Punch this time. While they
battled Leia thought that this guy was really intense for just a common thief.

Inigo and Lucius worked hard at getting Electrode's HP to go down, but it was taking longer than the trainer thought it would. Lucius had managed to poison the electric type at some point, but other than that the Kirlia was often using Protect. Ugh, who is this guy? he thought, ordering another Psychic attack. The battle seemed to be going on forever, and it looked like Leia was having trouble with her own too. He was about to call back Lucius, when something unexpected happened. Out of nowhere, a Stone edge attack came flying from behind Inigo. Before he could tell Lucius to dodge, the Pokémon was struck with the floating stones, sending it into the ground. "L-Lucius! he called worriedly, before snapping out of it and calling his Pokémon back to it's Poke ball. The young man took a look behind him, and his eyes went wide with shock. Not only was there a Krokorok, which is where the attack came from, but a bunch of other Pokémon. Several people too, who did not look happy with the situation. Oh god, I'm not prepared for this... This day just didn't seem to be going their way.

Inigo didn't have much of a choice at this point, however, and so he sent out three of his Pokémon this time; Mirage, Silver, and Rosario. "Mirage, go get some help! Fly as fast as you can, and avoid trouble!" He knew the Vibrava would get the job done, he'd specifically chosen her because of her incredible speed and agility. While he had other flyers, Mirage would be able to get them assistance the quickest, and time was not something they had right now. "Silver, use swords dance, and then x-scissor on that Electrode. Rosario, use spikes, then energy ball on Krokorok. Don't let anybody get any closer! While usually he would have used a more strategic approach, for now he'd have to settle for defense. Offense wasn't a choice right now.

Leia's Lucario jumped into battle against the Krokorok, holding her own just fine as her trainer
continued to fight the normal type. Leia was able to defeat the Ambipom with Blaziken due to
the highly effective fighting type moves. Roman dealt the finishing blow with a Brick Brake and
it sent the monkey spiraling backwards to fall at it's master's feet. It was then recalled as the thief
looked on and still battled with Inigo, yet he didn't ignore Leia and her Pokemon.

She noticed that down on the other end there was another Pokemon being fought by Titana, and she
was more curious as to what exactly was happening than to the state of the battle. Leia stepped
closer to the thug, maintaining a safe distance as well as narrowing the gap. Leia noticed that Roman
was very tired so she switched him out with her Serperior.

She waited to see what would happen, Inigo was a fine trainer and would be able to beat the electric
type. Her own Pokemon stood at the ready as Titana furthered battle against the ground type. Leia
was prepared for another round of fighting as Romulus and Paris were rearing to go.
