Yarrowpelt was restless, he couldn't sleep no matter how hard he tried and wanted to, so as a simpler solution than going to the medicine cat's den for poppy seeds, he decided to take a walk. It's not like anyone's going to know, and what's the worst that could happen, he thought to himself. As he approached the camp exit, a familiar voice popped up, scaring him. "What are you doing going out of camp so late in the night?" the cat asked. "Thank Starclan it's just you. Umm... I was just going for a walk... at midnight. Care to come along?" Yarrowpelt replied, then asked the cat. The cat nodded, and walked to his side. "So... why are you up at midnight?" He asked, in an attempt to make small talk. "To kill you." "Huh?" The cat launched themselves at him, attempting to claw his throat. They failed the first time, but succeeded after a few more attempt, killing him.

Irisshine woke up just after dawn. She couldn't remember whether she was supposed to go on a patrol today or not. Well, it didn't matter, she would wait to be told what to do. Meanwhile, her fur was ruffled and out of place from sleeping, so she settled down to groom herself in a comfortable corner of camp.

[gallifrey falls.]

Puddlepaw shifted the pile of yarrow leaves from one corner to the other, switching them with the marigold. Again. She looked anxiously over Minnowcloud, but her mentor still seemed to be asleep. She didn't want to wake her up, but it was so boring waking up early! She was still an apprentice and so not allowed to leave camp by herself. Puddlepaw had gone through the entire herb store at least twice in an effort to keep herself busy. But their store was as clean and organized as it would get, and Minnowcloud was fast asleep. Maybe she could pass some of the time eating breakfast.
She padded out of the den, giving a cheerful nod to Irisshine, who was grooming herself in a corner of the camp. Puddlepaw grabbed a small fish from the freshkill pile and approached the warrior. "Hi! Do you mind if I join you?"

[Rxbot]

Shadowstar had awoken up with a large stretch. He stood up to hear a few murmurs what is going on? he thought walking past the bramble of his den. He went near the fresh kill he grabbed a small shrew. He took a few mouth fulls before standing up again. He padded towards brackendash "greetings brackendash, have you sent a patrol out yet?" He meowed. Sitting down and giving his paw a good lick.

Brackendash had been sitting in the clearing for a while that morning and he was busy grooming himself. He heard his leaders approach and when Shadowstar spoke he stopped grooming and looked up. He nodded politely, "Greetings Shadowstar. Not yet. I was waiting until more cats were up." He replied, "I was thinking that I would take out the border patrol and take a few others with me." His gaze swung around the camp. Irisshine was up, maybe she would fancy taking out a hunting patrol.

Irisshine smiled at Puddlepaw. "Of course! I've got nothing better to do until Brackendash tells me so." She giggled, gesturing to the older tom. After the medicine cat apprentice sat down, Irisshine heard her own stomach growl. She smiled, a little embarrassed. "I hope you wouldn't mind if I took a bite of your breakfast?" She asked her young companion.
