Cedarbrook's eyes blinked open unusually early, squinting against the first rays of dawn. Maybe I could become a morning person, she thought wistfully as she stretched her tired limbs. I could wake up before dawn, finally participate in a morning patrol, hunt some prey... or I could just go back to bed.She glanced back to her nest, suddenly longing to curl up in the still-warm moss and sleep through the morning. However, the sun was already out, so Cedarbrook knew that she wouldn't be able to fall back asleep, however appealing it seemed. The young tortoiseshell lumbered from the den, peering around camp. So far, only Dustthroat and Bumblepaw seemed to be out and about. She nodded them a brisk hello before sitting outside the den to groom her pelt.

Rowanoak blinked drearily at the weak morning sunlight, her mind still halfasleep. She was at the point where she could easily fall back asleep and dream about... whatever her half-asleep mind was thinking about. The longhaired tortie didn't move; instead, she closed her eyes and drifted off again. Suddenly, her baby-blues shot open. I need to be awake right now! She leaped up, stumbling out of the den, shaking off sleep.

Hazelfur had been up with the sun, she swore she had, she had blinked at the rising dawn for a full minute before returning to sleep! Now the sound of cats rustling around her had stirred the large Somali back into the waking world and sent a flash of panic down her spine. She didn't want to be the last cat awake! Hazelfur jerked to her paws, still half asleep and off of balance, nearly toppling back into her incredibly messy nest. The she-cat yawned widely, breathing out her pointless burst of anxiousness and returning to her usual mellow self. After a few moments of stretching she slid out of the den into the warming sunlight. "Morning Rowanoak, how ya doing?" She stifled another yawn with an clumsy paw as she addressed her friend."Mmmmm the sunlight's really nice. I wish it was always this sunny, but then again the rain and wind is nice too." Yup. Talking about the weather, great conversation skills Hazelfur!

Looking up to spot a familiar golden pelt, Dustthroat smiled. ''Morning Bumblepaw.'' She replied. ''Nothing, really...'' the tortie sighed. Flicking her tail, she turned to the preypile. ''Do you think it'd be alright if i ate now...'' Dustthroat murmured. Puzzling over such an important problem, Dustthroat barely noticed Cedarbrook greeting the twosome. ''Morning Cedarbrook...'' She mumbled, watching the curl eared cat for a few moments, before turning back to Bumblepaw. ''How are you?''

The longhair blinked, still a bit muddled. "But it's hot out, and it's too hot. Sunlight literally makes my fur heat up and feel like it's on fire. Wind! I want wind! And rain smells nice. I like rain, too. Just not boring heat!" Rowanoak chuckled. She really didn't like hot weather. "Wanna see if we can go hunting or something?"

"It's not hot it's freezing!" Hazelfur whined as she fluffed out her fur, which, long as it was, still wasn't enough for the she-cat. "Wind would be nice though, otherwise it gets too muggy and nasty." The warrior shrugged, her opinion on the weather was as fickle and privy to change as it was. "Hunting?" I'll mess it up big time, scare everything away. No you won't, chill. Whatever happens is gonna happen. Hazelfur placed a paw on her already gurgling stomach, she really was hungry. "Sounds like a plan! What kind, fishing, rabbit chasing?" Anything but stalking please.
