- Has an extreamly icy wit
- Archer is cold to others who are not family, and for good reasons only Kai is burdened to know
- Lost his kit Rin while his mate and Archer were transporting their kids across the border to the neighboring kingdom; due to horrible weather conditions they were separated and have never seen each other since
- Secretly Sinbad had been searching for their lost son just to appease his growing adopted family
- Has known Kai for nearly as long as Sinbad (they met when Kai was a small but able to venture out on his own)
