No one could trust anybody anymore. Robinmask looked around, searching
for the familiar figure that he had seen previously. He had seen the outline
of the killer when he had saved Burningkit, but hadn't spotted it since.

"I think that Robinmask is the killer!"

The tom whipped his head around, fur fluffing up. How dare they accuse
him? He was only trying to save them all!

"No, it must be Smallstep!" someone else yelled out.

"Look at Robinmask!" taunted a warrior close to the deputy. "He's scared. I
think we have the killer!"

"No! I'm the guard! I'm trying to save you all!" yelled out the terrified
Robinmask.

Burningkit poked her head out of the nursery and remembered the figure
that had saved her a few nights before. "He's right!" she called quietly,
embarressed at speaking out. But no one listened to her. In short order,
the deputy was chased out. He was reluctant to give up the life of a
warrior and joined RiverClan as a warrior, and became loyal to them from
then on.

You have lost your guard, ThunderClan! Time is running out, and you
must be careful with who you accuse. Find the killer...before they find you.

Grasskit was asleep in the nursery, curled up against the two queens
and Ghostkit. The rest of the day had passed uneventfully after
Robinmask's exile. Little did the Clan know that they were wrong. The
killer crept into the den, and carried out Grasskit by his scruff. When
he felt cold air rushing past him, he woke up.

"Where are you taking me?" he asked, squirming to look around. "Why
is it so dark?"

The killer didn't answer, but continued running finally, they reached
their destination: the river that was the border between ThunderClan
and RiverClan. With a quick movement, Grasskit was flung into the
river where he drowned. His body was later found in RiverClan territory,
eyes wide and mouth open, trying to breathe air one last time. Up in
StarClan, the little kit's spirit was comforted by the others who had died.
They all had to hope that their living counterparts would solve the
mystery quickly.
