Kailani’s most dominant personality trait is her urge to help people. While it is true that this is a good trait to have, sometimes, it can be so obsessive that it gets on people’s nerves. Often, she wants to help, and thinks it’s for the good of someone, but sometimes it just makes things more difficult for them. Her heart is filled with good intentions, however. An example of this is when a rider is requesting her to jump something that’s too difficult for them. She’ll often refuse to do the jump, much to the rider’s dismay. This trait is part of why she is usually chosen as an advanced horse. When paired with the right person, she has great communication skills, and does exactly what the rider wants, leading her to place well in many shows.
Kailani’s chosen discipline is jumping, and she generally places well at shows, though she could care less. She isn’t very competitive, but she pressures herself to do the best she can do every time. Kai is a very friendly and excitable mare, with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. She’ll often get excited over little things, and it’s very easy to motivate her. One thing that may seem surprising to most was that her mother died shortly after she was born. With the proper care, she has flourished, and surprisingly, has a very positive outlook on the way the world works. Some may say she tries to help people because of the way that she was taken care of when she was orphaned. The world may never know. She chooses to never talk about it, telling them she’d prefer to talk about happy things. Kailani is also very independent in the romantic sense of the world. She would prefer not to have a mate to tie her down, but if she ever found an Arabian with the same sense of independence as her, she supposes she’d think of it.
Kailani’s first and foremost priority, and the one that occupies her thoughts the most is how to help people and what people need. If she’s doing something important, but sees someone in need of something insignificant, she’ll drop everything and help them anyways. In addition, she sees the world as a place full of beauty and wonder she knows she’ll never fully understand. It is this that helps her accept that things are the way they are, and the past is in the past. Kai always tries to focus on the present, and the near future, because she believes that she has the power to change them. She’s always looking for a better way to do things, and tries to learn from her mistakes. Kai tries to see everyone’s best self, and chooses to ignore the dark sides that some have. This can often be her downfall, and sometimes, she’s too kind to realize that someone is trying to sabotage her by being friends first.
It was the usual time of the week, Saturday. I got to come with Annabelle and convince some little children to start horseback riding lessons. WIP story for now.
