1 x 1 w/ Ineffable Woes

"Oh gosh. If I had my entire family on one call I wouldn't get a word in." He smiled, thinking of the last time they had tried. "So what else do you do in your free time?" He asked her, changing the subject. Luke grabbed a few fries off of his plate and ate them. Normal people in his position may think of fries as a cheat food but he figured as long as he got a workout in he could eat whatever he wanted.

She laughed softly and rolled her eyes as she knew full well that would be how it went with her brother in the call. "You might even hear my brother, he's not a quiet man." She grinned and glanced at her plate, wondering whether she would have enough room for a dessert aswell. "Well, I have a large collection of scrapbooks, of family holidays, when I started my job, my brother's wedding, that kind of thing. I do some photography, I'm not so good yet, but with more practice I'll get there." She smiled softly and glanced at him. "What about you? Do you have any hidden talents?"

Luke smiled, he enjoyed talking about his family and hearing about what others had to say about theirs. You could tell a lot about a person and their history by how they spoke about their friends and family. It was a great way to get to know someone. "That's very cool. If you need any tips with photography feel free to ask. I can help any time." He offered her. Luke finished his last bite of his meal before answering her question. "I enjoy playing music. I'm not that good but that doesn't really matter to me. Other than that being outdoors or travelling is how I take up my free time."

(Sorry I have been slow. I have been super busy. I work a lot this next week but will try to post at least once a day )

"I'm keeping it more of a hobby than anything. I've got to find my tripod though, I'm almost certain I packed it, it throws my scrapbook plan if I can't find it." She hummed softly, finishing the last little bit of her burger. "Hmm, that's cool. I used to do piano at school but I hated it, so I didn't ever continue it."

"I'm always here if you need anything taken for your scrapbook." He offered. Luke didn't mind offering his services. He even thought of offering his services for the ships help but decided against it. It was a vacation after all. "I played violin when I was younger. It didn't feel cool enough so I picked up guitar." He chuckled.

Rayne seemed surprised, she smiled softly at this and ate the last few chips on her plate. "That would be amazing, if I can't find it that is. I don't expect you to work on your holiday." She told him softly, not wanting him to put himself of his way just to get her some nice photographs of her outfit. "Guitar is awesome."

Luke shrugged. "It's not work and I don't mind. I get bored easily anyways." He gave her a soft smile. The waitress came and took their plates from them. She stayed standing there and asked if they wanted anything for dessert. Luke smiled, thinking of their pact and wondering if Rayne had left any room.

"Well, I'll give you a shout if I need the help, thank you." She grinned softly and thanked the waitress as she came to take their plates. Rayne hummed in that thought and looked over the menu for a moment. " I think I'll have the strawberry sundae, the one with the fresh fruit..." As much as she enjoyed chocolate, a fruity thing would be refreshing and would likely not make her feel too ill if it ended up being too much for her.

The waitress nodded and wrote her order down. "That one is my favourite. " She smiled and turned to Luke. "I will try a slice of your apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream." He smiled and thanked the waitress before she left. Luke yawned slightly, a bit tired with the day so far but knew that he still wouldn't be able to sleep for hours.

"Ooh.." She was more hopeful about the sundae being good with a recommendation from the woman that worked there. She hummed as Luke ordered, grinning from ear to ear. "I might have to try that tomorrow. Though, my mum's apple pie is the best." That was true to her , her parents owned a little cafe and they both did a lot of the baking for the pastries and cakes, she often took coworkers for lunch there.
