Blizzardstar looked at her clan.
"Wolffeather, step beside me." she meowed.
"I cannot carry the duties of a leader when I am caring for my kits...so I must give those duties to my deputy until I am able to do them again. Wolffeather, you are now the temporary leader of WinterClan." Blizzardstar meowed as she lay her head atop of Wolffeather's head.
Her kits sat beside her, mewing loudly. She licked each one of their heads and they fell asleep within seconds.

Brokenscreeched nodded his congratulations to Wolffeather, flicking her shoulder supportively with his tail. He sat beside Blizzardstar and the kits, fascinated. He couldn't take his eyes off of them.

"okay"wolffeather meowed
"gosh it's crowded here"meowed blackpaw,squeezing through the crowd
"shh!"flamefeatherhissed softly"blizzardstar is talking!"she spat softly to her apprentice

Blizzardstar smiled at her clan.
"This meeting is over." she meowed as cats struggled to get out of the crowded den.
She looked at Frostkit. He had his eyes open.
"Mommy? Daddy?" Frostkit mewed as Blizzardstar gasped.
"Hello there, Frostkit." Blizzardstar meowed in a sweet voice.
"Frostkit? Is that my name?" The small tom asked.
"Yes, sweetie." She meowed as Whitekit started to open his eyes.
"Mommy?" Whitekit mewed.
"Hello there, Whitekit." Blizzardstar mewed.
"Whitekit?" he mewed.
"Yes. That is your name." Blizzardstar chuckled.

All three cats padded out the den
"yesh!couldn't you stay quiet!"spat flamefeather
"sorry"blackpaw meowed scuffling his paws
"you don't have to be harsh!"said wolffeather

Brokenscreech's eyes widened as the kits' own did. He grinned, but watched from afar. Something deep inside of him kept telling him he might accidently hurt them... And it was the last thing he wanted.

Blizzardstar looked at her kits. Only one did not have its eyes open.
"Willowkit?" Blizzardstar asked.
The small grey kit did not move.
"Willowkit?" Blizzardstar asked again, this time licking her.
The small kit was breathing very heavily.
"Brokenscreech...get Stardust." Blizzardstar finally said as the other kits started to peek at Willowkit.
"Who is that?" Frostkit asked.
"That is your sister, Willowkit." Blizzardstar said to her kit as she licked Willowkit. Whitekit just sat and watched.

Stardust was padding around camp, seeing if anyone had any probkems that she could help with. Cloudwhisper was following her, looking for things to do along the way. He padded over to Wolffeather.
"Hey...Wolffeather? Aren't you going to set up the patrols?" Cloudwhisper asked the deputy/leader.

"yes I should to do that now!"replied wolffeather.
"can we go hunting by the stream?I want to teach my apprentice how to swim and catch fish."meowed flamefeather
"yuck!water"complained blackpaw
"ok!The hunting patrol shall be led by Flamefeather.Blackpaw and cloudwhisper.I shall lead the border patrol with foxpaw and snowfeather!"she meowed on the top of high rock

"Yes, Wolffeather." Cloudwhisper meowed as he padded over to the fairly new warrior and apprentice.
"Hi. I'm Cloudwhisper," he meowed as he took out a paw to shake.
"Snowfeather is my mate." he also said.

Blizzardstar smiled at the fact of Wolffeather doing the regular leader duties, but she was awfully worried about her kit. Stardust came padding by her den.
"Stardust! Come in here!" Blizzardstar mewed.
"Yes, Blizzardstar?" She called.
"Willowkit...she's breathing...but not that well." Blizzardstar meowed to the medicine cat.
"I will be back." Stardust meowed as she ran out of her den and was headed to the medicine den.
On her way there, she accidentally ran into Flamefeather.
"Sorry!" She called out.
