Flamepaw wailed, moving up close next to Applesplash's side and burying his nose in Foxstar's orange neck fur.

"What was all that wailing?" The tiny kit asked Penguin, burying herself deeper the unfamiliar den the large tom had pushed her into.

Leaving Dovekit to mourn with his mother and siblings, I went to my own nest to grieve. I've known Foxstar since I was a kit. A lot of us have. Some of us have known Foxstar since she was a kit... It was going to be hard without her, but I know that Watershadow will make a good leader. It's Waterstar now... I remind myself. I curled my tail around myself and buried my face in my pelt.

She heard Bravepaw call har name "Lunarkit?" he called "are you awake?" well now i am, she thought. She stood from her nest streching her stiff limbs. She padded out of the nursery and strainght into Bravepaw. "As you can see," she paused "I am, she paused nd saw the devastated camp. Her face crumpled as she saw foxstars lifeless body. "Foxstar!!" she yowled "NO!!" It was going to be hard. She spotted Dovekit and padded over to sit next to him. She new that she was not alone as Bovepaw followed behind her.
