1 x 1 w/ Ineffable Woes

Luke gave her a nod to her answer and looked over at the waitress. "I'm going to have the Mac N Cheese burger with fries." The waitress nodded and smiled at them. " It will only be a little while. Wave if you need me." She said, walking away from their table. Luke looked around the place again, he couldn't imagine working at a place like this. It seemed nice but the style didn't really suit him.

"Thank you." Rayne slipped in before the waitress walked away to get on with her job. She leaned back against the high backed couch-like seating, smiling to herself. This was proving to be a decent holiday already, starting with good food, good company and she hoped a good night's sleep would also be coming along to really make this a perfect time.

Luke looked back over at Rayne. "So before you started modelling what did you do?" He asked before taking a sip of his milkshake. It was just what he was craving at the moment. He wondered what she was like before she got into modelling, and how she got into it in the first place. Before he joined their company there were a lot of unhappy people that he worked with and the majority didn't want to be there.

She had a sip of her own milkshake, humming lightly in a happy way, more than pleased to be where they were. "Well, I've had a few bar jobs, but through that I'd been trying to get into modelling. But, being short and a little chubby by most standards, it never worked out, until the other year when I joined Midnight Nyx. What about you and photography? I know we've met on shoots before, but I'm always curious about people." She said openly, she was a very social butterfly, she loved conversing with people and meeting new people. Learning their passions was always a favourite thing of hers, to see a person light up about something or even someone. It was a lovely thing to see, for her, her passion was modelling, as everyone who knew her well had known since she was young.

He smiled and nodded, listening to her answer. She was a great model and looked good while doing it, he couldn't see why anyone wouldn't want to hire her. "I got into photography about 9 years ago. I started helping my mom out with her real estate agency. Their photographer had quit and we were going through a rough patch. From that I picked up that I preferred portrait photography which got me into modelling." He answered. He was a troubled child and looking back at it now he could see why his mom had made him take the position.

Rayne smiled softly, there was always something about men that obviously loved their mother's that made them immediately more attractive than they might be. "That's both a really cool thing to do and a good way to practice, I suppose. I can sort of relate, I was adopted so things were rough, we couldn't really afford to start my portfolio, so I pushed myself through a few years of college, because of my past in care I was able to get the education in design and I did hair and beauty too, all on my leaving care grant. I was then able to pay my own way for professional photos for a portfolio, I was about eighteen when I started it." She smiled softly, she understood how hard times could affect something.

"It's rough when life pushes back at you." He said, speaking from experience. "You're good at what you do, I am glad you made it happen. I remember when they brought you in for the first shoot. You were natural. A lot of people force it which makes it hard to work." He rested his hands on the table, comfortable with talking to her already. Luke could appreciate her story, modelling wasn't a get rich quick thing for her.

She smiled softly and had a sip of her milkshake. It was always nice to hear that she did a good job, she knew she wasn't bad at her job, but hearing it from other people made it more real, more true than telling herself. It kept her motivated to continue and just do better. "That's... really good to know. I do worry that sometimes I don't look as natural as I could, but, if the photographer says otherwise, you are the one that is right." She grinned at this and took another sip.

"Remember that, photographers are always right." He joked, winking at her. The waitress came by and dropped their food off. "Enjoy." She said, smiling before walking away. Luke looked at the meal in front of him and was pleased with the presentation. He grabbed a fry and took a bit, enjoying the crispness. He grabbed the ketchup on the edge of the table and put a small pile beside his fries. Luke passed it over to her "Would you like some?" He asked her.

She grinned and nodded slowly, as if she was trying to pretend to remember it. "Alright, I think I got that." She ooh'ed softly as the food was brought over and took her plate gently, putting it in front of her and she rubbed her hands together before accepting the ketchup bottle from him, doing almost the same thing as he had, a little drizzle on the side of her food. "Thanks. So, you looking forward to this holiday as much as I've been?" She asked him, taking a fry, dipping it in sauce and chewing softly.
