ooo yea, i struggled with that too!
so what ive learned is that every
record plays at a certain speed, &
there should be a knob on your
player that can adjust that? most
vinyl says the speed on it. i learned
that when i got blurryface live and
when i played it it was extremely
slow!! something ive learned is
that it'll be like 33.5 and you on
mine there isnt a setting for .5
so i have to like balance the knob
just barely past the 33. its quite
annoying.
and same, i have an old the who
album that's so scratched, but it
plays perfectly fine, haha it's
kinda weird how some records
hold up way way better than
others do!
about green day, i actually
never listened to uno! dos! or
tres! i dont know why, i just
never got around to it. i think
it was just because of how
hung up on their older stuff i
was haha.

Huh, mine doesn't have a knob, just a switch. How fast can yours go? Mine has three set speeds: 33(.5?)rpm, 45rpm and 78rpm if I remember correctly. I don't have any that need the highest speed, but sometimes I'll play 45s at that speed. It's pretty funny! I always forget to change the speed when I change the records though, last night I played some Metallica ones for my dad. I played Nothing Else Matters on a 12-inch single at 33rpm, then switched to One on a 45rpm 7-inch single and left it for a bit while I went to get my phone... And I'd forgotten to change the speed! So it sounded slower and even more depressing than One already is. lmao

@superunknown
hahaha thats awesome.
my speeds are 33, 45, and 78rpm.
there's also a 16rpm speed and i
have no idea what records even
play at that speed.
as well for some reason, its really
weird. i accidentally played
heavydirtysoul off of bf live the
other night on 33 when it's a 45
and i was so confused on why it
was taking so long to get through
the intro hahaha.
what type of
player do you have?

the heavydirtysoul video
sorry for double-posting on this
thread all the time, but i gotta
talk about the heavydirtysoul
video, by twenty one pilots.
wow. it hit kinda hard, and
got pretty intense. im not really
100% sure what it means yet,
but i think it's symbolizing the
constant cycle of 'blurryface'
and how it affects tyler day to
day. i think it also shows how
tyler sorta needs blurryface as
well, and shows how it keeps
his insecurities alive.
the video itself was pretty dang
rad, and i really liked it. when
josh started drumming while the
drums were on fire, wow. that
was pretty impressive to me. i
would probably rate it a 7/10
though, because honestly it
wasnt the best video i've
ever seen.
it was pretty cryptic, and
confusing. i didn't really like
how the car drove back and
forth past josh, it sorta
confused me and made it seem
less "real" to me.
my all time favorite music video
of all time is the "blue neighbourhood
trilogy (director's cut)" by troye
sivan. i really like it and if you
haven't seen it, i suggest watching
it. my other favorite is dan croll's
"away from today".
what did you think, if you saw it?
also, what's your favorite music
video, and why?

favorite song, and why;Butterfly by BTS because its a very beautiful song and has a very strong meaning about life
favorite lyric, and why;
"Maybe I, I can’t touch the sky
Still, I want to stretch my hand out
I want to run, just a bit more" The singer (Jin) talks about giving up but also about his efforts to keep trying <3
favorite album, and why;Wings album because each member had their own solo song and it dug a little deeper about the life of each singer
favorite genre;Kpop
favorite music news source [if any];I guess youtube?
least favorite artist, and why; I guess Justin Bieber because his songs aren't that bad, but his reputation is and a GOOD artist needs to maintain both

It's one of those portable briefcase-style ones, I think it's by a company called 1byone? Got it off Amazon for £100 a month or so go, it's served me well so far. q:
There are a couple of records where it stops a couple of seconds from the end but I think they're just overly dirty, it's done it so far with my One single and the live Brain Of J from my Wishlist single. Might have to get some cleaning stuff, the Metallica ones are really old but I got my Pearl Jam singles from the reissues last year so I dunno

favorite artist, and why; two door cinema club, probably! i wish i had a cool answer for why, but truthfully i just really like them and their sound. the vocals are good, i like the way the guitars tend to sound.... they're just my favorite band because i like how they sound and not much else, pfff.
favorite song, and why; i feel evil creeping in|islands
is it weird for your favorite song to not be by your favorite artist???? anyway, i love everything about this song. the lyrics especially i'm fond of, they just give off such a vibe of despair and impending doom. aaaa, i love it so much.
favorite lyric, and why; "and i lament, you're innocent, somehow the object of my discontent"
mmm. bathtub by waxahatchee is another big favorite. i can't explain much why i love this lyric so much, it just sticks out to me as something so lovely and deep. i just really like sad, sad songs.
favorite album, and why; 'tourist history' by tdcc! back into familiar territory... i love every song off of this album, truthfully. with most albums, i tend to have a few songs i'm not interested in and will skip over, but not with this album. i love every single one of them. a close second is 'a fever you can't sweat out' by p!atd.
favorite genre; i have noooo clue. i like everything except the songs i don't like, y'know?? there's no favorite or least favorite, because i listen to a little bit of practically everything.
favorite music news source [if any]; n/a
least favorite artist, and why; hmmm. i guess i don't like the wanted very much? but even then, i really don't know.
least favorite song, and why; little drummer boy. literally any variation of it by any artist, i don't like. i really hate the little drumer boy, dude.
favorite music service ...youtube?? i like to rip songs off there, lmao.
favorite platform? (records, cds, digital, etc.); digital!

favorite artist, and why; i have a ton but the one that stands out the most is probably the strokes?? according to my dad i started liking them when i was two years old and i 'rediscovered' them when i was about seven and i've never really stopped listening to them since but for aaaages they were my second favourite because the killers took top spot for so so long like eight years but i don't really listen to them now so the strokes all the way :))
favorite song, and why; right now bc i always change it?? well for the past two weeks it's been a tie between 'goodbye angels' on red hot chilli peppers' newest album because that solo at the end omg and idk i relate to the lyrics a lot but some things don't sit too well with me melodically so rn it's homenzinho by troco em bala;; i don't understand any of the words but the brazilian language is really beautiful?
favorite lyric, and why; there are so many i can't answer off the top of my head but if i had to choose it'd probably be from a vampire weekend song bc i like their words ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
favorite album, and why; right now it's el camino by the black keys orcage the elephant by cage the elephant; the first one because the album is so consistently good like there are no 'filler songs' and when one comes on i never skip it which is saying a lott, and cage the elephant by cage the elephant because although technically my favourite album by cage the elephant is tell me i'm pretty, cage the elephant is just really easy to listen to? it's really pumped music or something idk;; although if i had to pick out of all time my favourite album would probably be red light fever by hot leg or room on fire / first impressions of earth by the strokes- rlf because i loved it so much when i was young but i can't find it anywhere!! i can only listen to the songs individually on yt because the album isnt on itunes or spotify, rof because it's amazing and fioe because even though a lot of people don't like it it's what got me back into the strokes sorry im rambling
favorite genre; alternative in general and rock, a bit of rap
favorite music news source [if any]; the rolling stone magazine, tumblr or just internet haha
least favorite artist, and why; it's kinda a genre but a lot of newer metalcore bands like the amity affliction, bring me the horizon, asking alexandria are just really not my style at all and i tend to not like the singers' voices? idk sorry if you like them! just not my thing really
least favorite song, and why; 'wild honey pie' by the beatles and a lott of other songs by then from around that period because they produced a lot of 'experimental' stuff that came off quite creepy due to the pretty hardcore narcotics they were taking
favorite music service spotify
favorite platform? (records, cds, digital, etc.); would love to own a record, i'm primarily digital atm
nice to meet you guyss
