The cream colored female settled down comfortable beside Chestnutstar and another grey leader. "So..." She spoke after a few moments of silence. "Do you know when the announcements will be made?"

"So..." The pretty, white female began, "What's Soulclan like? And where did your clan get that name?" She asked curiously, "Kind of a creepy choice, if you ask me." Sheepclaw added, comfortably sitting with her fluffy tail wrapped around her tucked paws.

[ With Acornpounce, Nutpaw, Witheredpaw, & Others ]
Pinefur was about to speak when a nearby commotion caught his attention. Two apprentices seemed to be yowling at each other, but the medicine cat didn't know if it was his place to intervene. It wasn't until one of them attacked the other that he was there in an instant and managed to haul the seething Nutpaw off of Witheredpaw.

Cats Attending; Squirrelstar, Smokespeck, Ramhorn, Brindlepaw,
Rosie, Poppypounce, Stagstep, Witheredpaw, Pigeonpaw + Mossycreek

She looked over at Sagestar when he came up to her to talk. The ginger she-cat relaxed as she realized that the tom wasn't being hostile towards her. "It's fine. I apologize as well, Sagestar. We should've tried to talk things out without resorting to fighting. Don't take full responsibility, it was both of our faults." Squirrelstar bowed her head to him. "And thank you, I know Otterstream would be pleased to hear you say those words."

"A rogue group was trying to settle in our territory so Squirrelstar took a patrol out to fight them. One of the rogues slammed down on Otterstream's spine and it broke." Stagstep mewed sadly. "We also lost Dapplewing that same day during a territory dispute." He sighed, shaking his head. He looked back over towards Witheredpaw and Pigeonpaw, stiffening when he noticed the tension growing between Witheredpaw and a Reedclan apprentice.

Ramhorn shook his head. "I wouldn't worry too much about it, Dawnglow. If we had to worry about it, Starclan would tell us." The white tom mewed. "Tumbleclan just got some lucky shots in, we'll get them next time."

Mossycreek mewed a goodbye, watching Sheepclaw as she left.

Rosie touched her nose to Rosepaw's ear. "As long as you try your hardest you'll be a great warrior, young one." She mewed. "Now, where is your brother?"

Poppypounce settled back on her haunches, curling her tail over her paws. "I've only been with the Clan for two moons, so I don't know much of what has happened. From what I've figured out, Echoclan is still recovering from two fights recently. Nobody has really talked to me about it. How's Witherclan?"

Witheredpaw let out a startled shriek when she felt the weight of Nutpaw's body coming down on her back, then felt her claws pierce her skin. Several moments later, she felt somebody pulling Nutpaw away from her. Witheredpaw let out an angered snarl and whirled around to launch herself at Nutpaw but was stopped by another cat.

Squirrelstar hauled Witheredpaw back, shooting Pinefur a thankful glance at helping. "I'm so sorry!" The Echoclan leader mewed to Troutstar as she came up. "I don't know what's gotten into her." She mewed, glaring at her granddaughter.

stonestar looked at the scene below him. "i'm sure they'll start announcing as soon as those two apprentices stop their quarrel." the tom meowed, seeing a leader rushing towards the pair.

hawkfeather let out a little laugh. "what a coincidence." he meowed, an image of what sheeclaw would like it forming in his mind.

cherryseed and riversong stuck together, politely greeting everyone. the she-cats arrived at the medicine group, and cherryseed mewed a simply greeting. "good evening to you all. i am cherryseed, medicine cat of brookclan, and this is my apprentice riversong."

sandheart looked around for someone to talk to, quietly walking through the crowd of cats.

firestorm sat down in a corner with silvermist, his gaze meandering though the clearing. "there's so many cats..." the warrior thought.

as much as dustleap disliked it, the tom knew it was a good idea to stick around with cats he knew. even if that meant having owlflight come along. gingersplash was also there, an impressed look on her face. "i didn't know there was that many clans..." the she-cat meowed.

Attending: Troutstar, Silverwing, Deerstep, Acornpounce, Nutpaw, Tumbleflight, Smokepaw, Cloud-dapple, Iceberry, and Littleglow

Troutstar dipped her head quickly as a thanks to Pinefur for grabbing Nutpaw. Now that her fear had ebbed, she felt embarrassed to be responsible for Nutpaw. She had no idea how she was going to be relaxed enough to do clan announcements. "Nutpaw, fighting is never acceptable at a gathering!" She turned to Squirrelstar. "I'm so sorry, Squirrelstar, is your apprentice okay?" Nutpaw seethed. "She started it!" she piped up. Troutstar's furious gaze caught her's. "Silverwing, please take Nutpaw back to camp and make sure she's watched," she ordered. Her tone was curt and harsh, but Silverwing didn't take offense. "Come on, Nutpaw," Silverwing meowed, leading the apprentice out of the gathering. Nutpaw was furious. She was going to miss the rest of her first gathering! She better not become a warrior later because of this. It was Witheredpaw's fault!

She was shocked to see the two apprentices fighting below, but was quite proud to see her own medicine cat assist in the breaking up. Turning to Stonestar, he seemed quite calm about it all. "Does this happen often?"

The medicine cat returned Squirrelstar's glance with a smile of his own. He was glad to help, a little proud even, but still a little shocked and ruffled. What could have caused Nutpaw to so violently attack a fellow apprentice? Not wanting to think about it, Pinefur returned to where Acornpounce stood. "Well, that was chaotic to say the least." He said, chuckling slightly. "Where were we again?"

"Witheredpaw will be fine." Squirrelstar mewed, eyeing Nutpaw as she left to see if she was injured as well. "Stagstep! Come get your daughter and take her back to camp." She called before looking at Witheredpaw. "I'm very disappointed in you." She mewed.

"Shall we start the gathering?" Squirrelstar mewed to Troutstar.

Emberstar listened carefully to what Ripplestar had said about the announcements and hoped that she wouldn't embarrass herself and her Clan in front of all these cats.

The deputy understood that SmokeClan had to leave, but Addertail's farewell led Ashenclaw to believe that making conversation -- and friends, for that matter -- simply wasn't for him. He sighed softly, gazing around the clearing. He had given up on approaching others, and so he waited in a corner for the leaders to make their announcements and the Gathering to end.

"Well..." the young medicine cat mewed, "I guess I'll head over there." She gave Ashenclaw a small smile. "Wish me luck," she said with a slight chuckle before nervously stepping through the crowd toward the medicine cats. Some were speaking to each other, some weren't. Suddenly she was frightened, not one to initiate a conversation, so she mumbled a quiet "Hello..." while looking down awkwardly at her paws.

Patchthorn--- tagged: open
Patchthorn's eyes narrowed at the other cat's foolishness. I don't have time for this nonsense.... He would try to end the conversation quickly, he decided. "Yes, I do believe we are neighbors," he grumbled. "I need to go." Without a proper farewell at all, the warrior disappeared into the crowd. Dear StarClan, I hope I don't run into him on any border patrols. Patchthorn looked up at where the leaders conversed, wondering when they would make the announcements and then could leave.

The silver molly nodded and smiled. "I will be sure to do that." Jaystar nodded, understanding hot-headed young warriors very well. When her friend proceeded to talk, Jaystar left her to her conversation and turned to greet the other leaders with her normally kind smile. Though she stuck close to Squirrelstar just in case.

The deputy felt a bit offended by her inquiry that Soulclan's name is weird, but he help back any remark and simply smiled at the pretty molly. "I'm afraid you must ask my leader for the answer to that question. Though I am sure that it has much to do with the large hearts and strong souls that belong to the cat's of out clan." He said passively.

The medicine cat flushed a little and waved a paw at him bashfully. "Oh please, you flatter me. Really. It's nothing special." She admitted, shuffling her paws. "Soulclan has just been around for a long time now."

Hearthflame on the other hand was looking for one tom in particular. He wasn't sure if he had actually befriended the other nor did he know if the tom would even want him around like when they first met. But Hearthflame would still like to see him. Well, if he could find Weaselpaw that is. And so he joined the crowd, hoping to find him somewhere.

The sisters looked at one another, ears pricked in surprise not sure if they heard the elder right. But after the silent conversation registered between the sisters, their ears fell back and devious, almost scary smirks formed on their faces. "Are you suggesting-" "-We plan something-" "Together?" When they spoke together, then they were truly in a mode of mischief. "My my, now you've certainly piqued our interest~"

Cinderblaze nudged Claywhistle once more, purring a little before realizing that the little 'ish' she added on the sly wasn't passing them by. She mentally cursed herself but no real point hiding it. "I haven't been getting any sleep lately. Really bad nightmares... Bad images and such." She exchanged a quick look with Asptail, hoping he knew what she was dreaming of. She had stared pretty hard at that horrible image we he left. She could still vividly remember every horrid detail of the scene. It.... "It's been rough..."

After being dismissed by their mother, Mistlepaw and Mudpaw began to walk around, excited to met others. Mudpaw sped walked around his sister who walked with a flashy grace in each step. "This place is amazing." Mudpaw smiled eagerly. "It really is a whole new world." Mistlepaw sighed with awestruck breath.

Lichenstar listened, and pricked his ears in interest when he heard they'd caught a fish. "We are a small group, but we are well. Do you live near a river?" He went through a mental map of the land around Strikeclan, wondering if their lands were close together.

Cottonpaw laughed. "Sounds cheery! Mine's Lichenstar, the ginger tabby over there." She swiveled her neck to point him out. "But that's only because there really wasn't anyone else. Strikeclan's pretty new, so there's only three cats." Cottonpaw swatted at an annoying fly that was too close, killing it. "How's your territory like? Is it forest-y?"

chestnutstar gave a small shake of her head when oatstar inquired when the announcements would begin. her ears perked up when she heard a yowl. turning her gaze, she spotted two apprentices fighting and another cats rushing over to them to pull the she-cats apart. her eyes landed on blossompaw who met her gaze and hurried over to her mentors. "how embarrassing.." she murmured, giving another shake of her head. she was relieved that none of her apprentices had been involved in the fight.

bristleclaw sat at a distance, his eyes glued to his leader and mate, chestnutstar. he tried to read her lips as she spoke to the other leaders, but he could not make out the words. he did not have much of a motive to talk to others.

palenose gave a small hum to himself when the she-cat gave him yet another glance. did she want to speak to him? maybe after the announcements he would be able to meet her. for now, she had her duty as a leader to speak to the other clans. however, he could not help but watch her. perhaps he should be focusing on his leader, but this she-cat from petalclan interested him.

blossompaw grimaced when the two apprentices really started to fight. she looked around her when other cats came this way to separate the two. when she looked to the leaders, she noticed chestnutstar gazing at her. giving a sheepish smile, she hurried over to her mentor, crowfall. she did not think she would receive a scolding since she was not part of the fight.
