Now it makes sense.
I was going through the Rares List Swap thread and all of a sudden everyone wanted the Skelebun. I didn't remember it having such good demand like that.


It's funny how this pet was impossible to trade for as an uncommon. Then it becomes rare and BAM accepted trade.

So it's finally happened.

A never to be re released store pet has gone OMG So Rare.

I wonder what the repercussions will be throughout the trading community regarding the Cerebus, Liontails, Raven, Patchwork etc.

Personally, I bought sixteen skelebuns when they were in the store. Of those, at least nine are on dead accounts. And another few are on accounts that only log on for events and in hoards.

I KNEW that Bunn was THE single rarest store pets. Just because everyone went nuts over the Cerebus and sort of ignored the poor little guy.

Now I'm just wondering who's gonna go next. Cerebus or Sleipnir. I'm guessing orange Cerebus. With red and Sleipnir not far behind.

More than likely, the next one would be the next least popular store pet that you hardly ever see traded or auctioned (that is still very old). If the Orange Cerberus is as popular as I think it was in the past, it will be awhile before it hits omgsr. I mean I still see one traded or auctioned off every now and then. The Skelebun was virtually unseen for so long. Heck I think I only ever saw it twice!

Now I know I will probably never get one. But I am happy I got the Orange Cerby as I liked that one much much more. It cost me a fortune to land though. If it ever goes that rare, it would probably overtake the top of the mains in short order. Mainly due to added demand.

I know the main reason store pets don't get recreleas d is because of gambling laws, but has there been a discussion on how to get store pets re released without there having to be a gamble? Or has it just been flat decided they will never get released again? If not then I have an idea that might actually help. I know this isn't a place for that discussion but I wanted to check to make sure a post in the suggestion section isn't pointless.

It isn't because of that alone. People paid c$ for them unlike the regular adoptions and with how widely they're worth it wouldn't be fair to rerelease them. Its been suggested and denied before for those reasons.

This is soo funny, that bun's demand is going to skyrocket and its going to be on everyones dreamie list lol. I'm lucky that I don't really like CS buns, but its going to be funny to watch.
Its also the first OMGSR pet on the Sept. list, would it get moved up because of its rarity?

Not really. Virtually no one trades this bun - I know because I hoard skeleton animals and always look for super old store pets ('09-'11), and so this bun is near impossible to find compared to the orange cerb and basically all 2009 store pets. Those who have it are probably on adandoned accounts...

Well I think the Bun was a bit of a special case. I'm pretty sure it came out along side the Cerb which everyone wanted instead of the Bun so not that many people bought one.

I'm sure at some point the Store Pets will go up but I can't imagine it's going to be recent.

There is already a solution for the store pet problem. But its not cheap or random. Once a store pet reaches a near unobtainable level, Tess can release those hard to get store pets at preset limited quantities. And the cost of buying would be anywhere from their current C$ value placement to perhaps a little more or less. Once store pets reach high mains, this can be done to keep them in circulation. I don't think anyone would argue against it as people who brought them in the beginning as an investment already got more than their money's worth. Anyone getting angry at that point would be arguing purely for greed.
