Flare watched Nikita's attempt at catching a fish, amused by his reaction when the fish was hooked on the claw. "That was very good! Especially for your first time. You could've been quicker, but that'll come with experience if you decide to continue improving your fishing skills," Flare purred, impressed by the younger sharp-claw.

Heron listened to Lily's plan of action for that particular move. "Yeah, that all sounds good," he meowed. Working with her was interesting as he'd never really put that much thought into details like that. He'd certainly be more prepared when fighting a hostile enemy because of this session.

"A better sharp-claw then me? Pft impossible! I'm the best sharp-claw in all of DarkClan for sure," he teased back. "But I suppose we could, for your sake," he answered, still teasing the to-be. He bent down into a crouch to show he was ready to begin, and waited until she was as well. Watching her, he made his first strike, pouncing towards her, aiming for her front paws for the purpose of knocking her off her feet.

[ Not quite sure how to take "hey, do you wanna try adding a few different things?" but I'm going to pretend like it means "do you want to fake battle, adding on techniques as we go?" ]

"Oh it was nothing, really. I might've actually caught that fish by mistake." He giggled, feeling a sudden surge of pride and happiness, which was quite a rare experience for him, considering he was usually sullen, and quite glum. But, at this particular moment, he felt accomplished and proud. He was grateful to have bumped into Flare earlier. Though short, their time together taught him many new things, including kindness, for he was not usually this friendly to other cats.

Nikita turned his gaze to the water as he quietly watched the remaining fish. Now that they knew they were being hunted, they moved the edges of the stream to hide in the shadow of the bank. Nikita looked up at Flare thoughtfully. "These fish are a bit small, but a paw-full of them might make a good meal. When new-leaf comes, do you think there will be bigger fish?" Nikita asked.

Flare was glad that Nikita seemed to be having a good time, and found that he'd had a good time as well. He had expected a dull and lonely hunting trip with an ending of failure and misery, but with the other tom, he'd managed to catch a rabbit and a fish. "I believe so. There will always be small ones like this, but most of them will be larger. Whatever they eat is more plentiful I suppose."

"Cool! Then maybe in the spring, when all the fish return to the river and streams, we could have a little fishing competition together." He suggested humorously. "But, until then, I'll definitely be practicing." Nikita chuckled, setting his little fish down beside Flare's before he went back to watching the water. "Maybe we should try to catch a few more fish, unless you think this is plenty?" He asked, motioning towards the rabbit, and the pond smelt that they had caught together.

Birch woke up, the sun shining onto him, unfazed by the shadows of the tree above him. He slowly opened his eyes, then got up and stretched. He shivered, a cold breeze blowing past him. He remembered that he was going to go hunting the previous day, but was too tired to do anything and feel asleep under the tree. He began walking away from where he was previously sleeping, sniffing the air for any prey.

Ivy walked into her den, holding multiple different herbs in her mouth, consisting of goldenrod, feverfew, dock, chickweed, and tansy. Although she had been searching for catmint, she had to take what was available. She knew that anything that could help with greencough and whitecough would be useful, since leaf-bare was going to come soon. She shivered, the cold weather easily getting through her thin coat of fur. She sighed and began organizing the herbs.

Odette had been hunting in a small area of forest just outside of DarkClan's territory. After an hour of searching, she had caught only a fattened wood thrush, which she had chanced upon, much by mistake. But, Odette was used to the scarcity of prey by now. It had been leaf-fall for three moons now, and mostly all of the animals had gone into hiding, and many of the birds had already left for the south.

After finding a quiet clearing to rest in, Odette settled down to begin eating her prey. But as she looked around, something was different, and she felt like she wasn't alone anymore. Alarmed by the sudden sound of footsteps, Odette leapt to her paws, still holding her thrush. She followed the scent through the forest which was kind of hard with the bird in her mouth, but as she kept wandering, she got a sudden glimpse of a fluffy white pelt through the trees. She did not conceal her presence, but rather walked directly towards them, nosily weaving though a small patch of undergrowth, still holding the wood thrush in her teeth. As she got closer, Odette could see that this cat was clearly very small and quite young looking, probably not older that six or seven moons old, certainly not old enough to be roaming the woods by himself. Feeling sympathetic for this young cat, she dropped the bird, offering him a warm smile. Odette calmly sat down in front of him, her friendly gaze meeting his. "Good afternoon little one, are you lost?"

Birch stared at Odette for a moment before shaking his head quickly. The cat seemed nice, and was definitely not a clan cat, but he still felt like running off. He then realized that if the cat was aggressive, then he could be chased after, and would definitely be caught. So, he just stood there awkwardly.

"It's alright dear, I wont hurt you." She said soothingly, sensing the young cat's unease. Despite his fluffy coat, he looked a bit thin, and Odette began to feel some concern for this cat's well-being. "Do you have a family?" Odette asked, watching him closely. He looked like he wanted to run off, and if that was the case, she was prepared to go after him. She commonly helped strangers, and she was quite used to this sort of reaction.

Odette sighed, giving him a puzzled look. Now she was starting to become confused. Did he have a family or not? How could he not know the answer? She thought with slight irritation, but she stopped herself. How could she become upset or lose her patience when the poor dear probably didn't even know whether he had a family or not anymore. The wood thrush she had caught earlier still lay at her paws, and she slowly nudged it towards him. "Well then, maybe you just need something to eat. Are you hungry?" She asked, offering him the thrush.
