harper nodded. he walked over to the bag where they kept the cat stuff. he pulled out the litter box, and put the actual litter inside. he also put together the cage just in case.

brook got out the baby bottle that they bought for teagan. she filled it with some milk, and then put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. she took it out after the device beeped, checking the temperature of the milk to make sure it was suitable for the young kitten. it seemed okay, so she held the bottle near the mouth of the kitten, making sure she didn't force it to drink. the kitten began to drink from the bottle, so she held the bottle still so the kitten could drink from it.

harper finally finished the cage, after half an hour. the instructions were in Spanish, which didn't help. he walked over to the kitchen where brook was. he saw her take the bottle out, and he watched the small kitten suckle at the milk. he ran his paw over the cats back, listening to the soft purring.

"hey harper. did you manage to sort everything out for teagan?" she asked, looking from the small kitten to harper, the took the bottle away from the kittens mouth as the kitten finished the drink inside it. she put the bottle on the counter, and began to stroke the cat with harper, her paw occasionally brushing against his.

"yeah, the cage is over there, her litter box is right next to the door, and her bed is over in the guest bedroom." she told him, knowing she would like if the cat would be in her room. he saidhugged her while petting the cat. he kissed her forehead, blushing a bit.

brook tensed up at the contact with harper, and swiftly turned to face him. she bought her arm up, and slapped harper across the face the cat was kept securely between her chest and her arm. her arm fell to her side again. she instantly felt bad, not actually meaning to do it.

harper froze as brook slapped him. he was stunned, and he almost fell backwards. strong girl. he got up, and turned to brook. "brook?" he breathed, surprised. he rubbed where she had slapped him on his cheek, and he noticed how the cat also looked annoyed to have moved with such quick movement.

brook bit down on her tongue in embarrassment, becoming flustered. she instantly ran to harpers side, hugging him. "i'm so sorry! i-it's just a natural reflex. i guess i'm not really too used physical contact yet... are you okay i-im so sorry harper." brook felt herself apologize over. she stood on her tiptoes, kissing him on the cheek where she slapped him.

harper blushed, and smiled when she kissed him. he expected it wasn't on purpose. "it's fine." he promised, hesitating to kiss her. he hugged her tightly, forgetting the cat for a moment. he heard it meow, and jump onto the table. he turned to it, and scratched it behind the ear.

brook gave harper a grin as the kitten leaped dramatically onto harpers table. she walked to the cat, reaching her paw out and petting her soft chocolate fur. "you've got to be careful and remember we've got a cat now." she teased, referring to the hug.
