I was just thinking about these guys the other day... I don't remember ever seein a mention of an official close to Ikplets...

Guys, its alright. Slate has comissions and stuff to do off of cs, it wasn't Ikplets that made him take a hiatus.
As it is, all thats happened is that Ikplets won't be made for a while! You can still draw or write about them, and make stories and rps for them!

Got a bit of a poll for you guys since I can't decide. When it comes to breeding which of these would you prefer?:

● Restricted-opening breedings, but totally free. (+2)

The original way, and common in oekaki adopts. A few slots are made available and people post to claim them, usually in fcfs manner, then are closed. Can be difficult for those with slower internets, but no cost or effort beyond getting there first.
● Always-open breeding, but with a cost in credits or an item requirement. (+7)

Common in non-oekaki adopts. Some kind of item must be purchased in order for Ikplets to be bred, usually a love potion of sorts, or just breeding the Ikplets could cost without an item. Costly, but minimal effort.
● Always-open breeding, but with an art/writing requirement per breeding. (+5)

Common in deviantART ARPGS, some kind of piece involving both Ikplets is required. One piece doesn't always equal one breeding; it could be used for multiple. Free, but with effort. Pieces would have a minimum requirement.
● Always-open breeding, but with an art/writing requirement per Ikplet. (0)

Also common in deviantART ARPGS, an Ikplet would have to meet some kind of art/writing requirement in order to be breedable. For example completing some kind of trials/tests/training. After that the Ikplet could be freely bred up to their limit with no other requirements. Free, but with effort. Pieces would have a minimum requirement and held to certain prompts.

I think always open breeding with art and writing requirements would be a good idea, to encourage creativity and such!
