jake looked over at harper in disgust. "you're kidding, right? I mean, you could do so much better with me." he told her, flashing his teeth. he had horrible braces, and glasses. "we could just go now, alone, and you could forget abou-" harper was bubbling with anger, and spit out. "she kissed me, you freak!"

brook looks the kalon, clearly unhappy with the way he had just spoken about harper. "money isn't the way to a girls heart you know." she replied bluntly. "and either is dissing the love of her life!" she snapped, her eues narrowed at the kalon. she picked up as many of the items as she could carry, before turning around and kissing harper infront of the boy. "we'll be leaving now. thank you for your co-operation." she proceeded out the door.

harper blushed when he was kissed, but snapped right back. he sent a victory smirk towards jake, before picking up the cage, and some other supplies, and following brook out. "he wasn't lying." he told her as they hopped into the car. "you're pretty hot." he teased, semi jokingly. she was honestly quite hot.

brook felt herself get flustered all over again. "s-shut up you nerd." she muttered, still rather flustered. brook sat in the front of the car with the sleeping kitten. she was curious as to when she would wake up. "besides i'm not hot. i'm average."

harper smiled at her warmly. "we both know you're pretty attractive." he teased again, turning the car on. he couldn't believe he was saying this. it was not like him.

"i don't see a second kalon who thanks that." she retorted, her hand running across the kittens chocolate fur. since the kitten was to be staying at harpers apartment, brook wanted go ask him if she could visit him on a daily basis to see the kitten. of course she'd visit harper as well. brook was reluctant to ask if he was okay with that, incase she seemed pushy.

harper chuckled, and turned to brook for a moment. he wondered if she actually did not believe or not know she was pretty. he decided to change the subject nonetheless. "you seem to like the cat. if you'd like you could come see it whenever you'd like." he offered.

brook nodded quickly, smiling wide enough to light up a dark room. "that would be great! i don't want to make you look after the cat on your own. i'll make sure to take care of you and the cat when i'm there." she rested one of her hands on the cats pelt, and the other on her lap.

"perfect!" he said cheerfully, grabbing brooks hand. he felt safe and confident around her. and now they had a cat. "when do you think it'll open its eyes?"

"i shouldn't think it will be too long from now. any moment actually. the doctor said that she'd open them in an hour or two. brook didn't move her hand away from harpers, appreciating the comfort and warmth he provided. she used her free hand and continued to pet the kitten.
