♆ Pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ
Addison is incredibly confident and she lets it be
known. She isn't afraid to show that to others, which
can sometimes rub them the wrong way (she might
come off asself-centered or cocky, not that she really
cares). Addie doesn't really give much thought to other
people's feelings, which leaves a sour taste in some
other people's mouths. However, she is a very sym-
pathetic person and good to talk to. She likes to listen,
because it really gives her insight into how other
people are so vastly different from one another. She
loves to learn, and spends hours outside of class going
over classwork and different things so that she can
absorb as much of the information as possible.
Though it's all well and good that she enjoys studying,
Addison is also incredibly terrified of failing. That's the
subconscious reason that drives her to study all the
time, not her love of learning-- her fear of failing.
When she's not studying, there's always a voice in the
back of her head telling her that she should be working
on schoolwork. So it's a double-edged sword: yes, she is
an amazing student, but she also has crippling anxiety
when she isn't studying. Addison doesn't have a lot of
tolerance for people who can't do things by themselves.
She doesn't like helping other people with schoolwork,
because she feels like she's bad at tutoring. She is a
good friend, however, and loyal to the end. When she has
a crush on somebody, she gets a bit crazy. She acts weird
around them, afraid to let her feelings be known.
♆ Hɪsᴛᴏʀʏ
Addison is from a small city called Bozeman, Montana.
She grew up around animals, learning how to ride a
horse almost before she knew how to walk. Her parents
were both from old wizarding families with a lot of
money, so she had never wanted for anything. However,
her parents made her work for the things she received.
She wasn't "given" things like many pureblood families
do, rather, she had to put in time and effort to earn what
she got. Her parents believed that for their children to
truly appreciate what they had, and what they were
going to get, that they had to earn things, instead of
just being given them. They raised three children that
way-- Addison has two brothers, one younger and one
older. They were very close while growing up, but grew
apart when they went to school. Her family is incredibly
proud of her for being chosen as a Triwizard champion,
and she is the first in the family to go. Her family puts
a lot of pressure on her to succeed, and expects her to
become an auror once she graduates from Ilvermorny.
She has had a pretty great life, if she's being honest--
nothing exceptionally bad has happened to her, save her
older brother dying when she was 15. However, Addie is
good at compartmentalizing and rationalizing the lack
of emotions that she displays, and has convinced
herself that she is just fine after that. It shook her family
for a while, but now they are closer than before, since
they appreciate the time they have together so much
more now.
