harper hurried after her. the street was cute, with bushes and trees planted in every inch. he opened the door for her, and walked in behind her. he was a little overwhelmed at first the amount of meowing and barking he heard at first, but tuned it out. he started looking at nice collars, and found a cute pink one with fake diamonds on it. "brookie, how's this collar?" he asked, walking over to her.

brook looked from the collar, to the cat and then back to harper and the collar. "i like that one! perhaps we could get a tag made for it once we've named her?" she suggested. brook petted the kitten as they stood. she looked around the pet store. it wws quite large. selling things from hutches and toys to budgies and lizards. brook wished she could buy a pet, but she could barely afford to look after herself. not to mention she now had a kitten to look after. "i think we need to buy some toys, a travel cage and a bed for her."

harper twitched his ear, taking everything in. they now had a cat to look after. he nodded, and started collecting supplies. he took a cage, some litter, a box, and some fur brushes. he walked over to the counter, where a kalon, around their age, was standing. he had an australian accent when he spoke, and he seemed very cheerful. "do you guys sell bottles for kittens?" he asked. the boy went to the storage area and brought back a small bottle, like the one used for normal kits.

brook followed harper around the store, being careful of the cat as she did so. whilst harper was buying necessary essentials for the cat, brool herself was mainly spoiling her with a large variety of toys and multiple collar colours. she waited for the boy to come back, before handing harper the kitten. brook got out her purse and took out the necessary money for the cats essentials. "that should be enough." she said, putting the money on the counter.

harper looked shocked as she put the money on the counter. "brook, its fine, I'll pay." he insisted, taking out the money. it was a large blow to a college student, but brook needed the money more than he did.

brook quickly shook her head, insisting that she pays for the items. "please? let's at least go fifty-fifty." she pleaded, looking at him with hope. she'd feel bad if he paid for everything. it was both of their cat, so it was fair if she paid for at least half of it. of course, it was tough fof her to blow so much money at once, but it wouldn't hurt her to skip a few meals to pay for the hurt kittens well being.

"no, it's fine." he insisted, sneaking the money to the kalon working at the cash register. the guy took the money, and pullled out a recite for everything. he took the recite in relief, and side hugged brook. "it will be nice." he promised. he was about to leave when the kalon started talking to them. "hey, you seem cool, you want to come over to my place tomorrow?" The kalon flirted with brook. "I'm jake, and you're hot."

brooks brown eyes widened in utter surprise. even if he did find her te least bit attractive, she certainly didn't expect him to be so straight forward about it. "oh honey i know." she hated being sl straight forward and blunt back, but she was kind of hoping it would put te kalon off. she had harper, and didn't need anybody else.

harper stiffened as jake complimented brook. his neck fur started to rise, and he glared at jake. "well that's good, cause cool kids like me only date hot girls like you." jake flirted with brook. "I have a giant hot tub. also some nice sodas." he added quickly, trying to impress her.

brook held onto harpers hand, squeazing it reassuringly. "well perhaps we could come over one time." she suggested, holding harpers hand behind her back. "it sounds like fun."
